first of all, the hotel is not as bad as some of the reviews imply it to be. especially considering that it is over 20 years old, privately owned and not part of a chain. on arrival we were greeted with smiles and passion juice after a long, scary plane ride. the rooms are spacious with a separate lounge area.... more

My only purpose to go to this “5 star hotel”, was to relax and have a problem free day and night, and pamper my self a little bit after a long safari. Do NOT spend your money at this hotel, go to Holiday Inn, Serena or Hilton instead. They are real 5 star hotels. This hotel could only get 5... more

We spent two nights at the start and at the end of our two weeks stay in Kenia. First night we had an efficient checkin and nice room. Second night we arrived about lunchtime. Checkin lasted about an hour; the room was not really clean, bathroom falling apart. Lunch a salad at Café Kigwa: it took about an hour to... more

Stayed in Safari park for a night before moving to Masai Mara. On the outskirts of Nairobi, surrounded by an exotic garden, a really impressive reception and nice little houses, so our initial impression was a very positive one. Sorry to say that the rooms didn't match our expectations: We had a sitting room and bedroom with nice colonial furniture... more

Our group was put at Safari Park after original hotel could not accommodate us. One member had her purse stolen ,during the dinner entertainment, which included funds, credit card and passport. The Embassy informed her that they recently had a rash of stolen items at this hotel. They suspect outside individuals allowed in during the evening when many guest are viewing... more

Jambo I am just on my way home having stayed 5 nights at Safari park Hotel for a conference. The staff are lovely people, friendly and efficient and the grounds are immaculate and restfull with heaps of pools which I didn't have time to access but just looked wonderful. The rooms are old colonial style - wooden floor, four poster... more

have stayed on more than 2 occasions and always enjoyed. good rooms, so comfortable and good friendly staff, food always excellent...including room service. once we had no hot water but eventually was sorted out. service was good considering the gerenal attitude and service in this country is so lethargic and slow. and the gardens and jogging route is splendid! its... more

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night as we were transfering between a safari and the Seychelles. The hotel is surrounded by great grounds, and when we arrived we were told we'd been given a suite as we were on honeymoon. This suite was great, with wooden floors and four-poster bed, plus a balcony to sit on and look... more

My wife and I stayed here after a long flight from the US and then Europe. This is a huge facility with multiple buildings. (To send an email I had to walk to another building a few minutes away.) Being out of downtown Nairobi was, I think, safer than being in town. I would have never found the place without... more

We were here three times on our trip to Kenya. Each room was clean and nicely furnished and the bathrooms were large and adequate. Only one of the three rooms had a screened window that opened. In the other two getting fresh air was not feasible if you're concerned about mosquitoes. The hotel provides only two small bottles of water.... more
