Stay away from the Terrace Bar here if you want to eat. There's a reason no one else will be eating there, just drinking coffee. I sat for a good 20 minutes or more with no service, then had to go inside and ask for someone to serve me, though tables all around were getting served. I ordered the steak... more

I did not pay for my stay. But the orgaizers paid for it. The sum they paid was too much. Wirelss internet connection was so expensive and also not working at my room. I had to come down to the lobby. I made a one phone call and they charged 450 shillings per minute, which was only about50 shilings 100meters... more

Having stayed at this hotel when it was known as The Grand Regency.... This hotel has improved, but still has along way to go. The rooms are still very tired and dark.... Get some better lamps... Please! The pool and health club have been repainted and repaired... And the staff are much friendlier and more approachable than before.... Well done... more

Food was terrible and expensive. Internet was ridiculously expensive. The staff was pleasant but many--especially at the front desk--were not very helpful. Everytime I had any kind of question, needed an internet voucher, etc. I was told by the reception "go to the cashier". The cashier always had a long line while the folks at reception stood around doing nothing.... more

The wireless internet connection is horrible. the fee is 30USD for a day. (the competitor, New Stanley Hotel charge at 0.01Shiling per day). I was sharing a room with my colleague, but we were given a double room with two beds lying next to each other. Robes were not provided till asked. Bathtub is available, but there is no plug.... more

Thank you for having chosen to stay at LAICO Regency Nairobi. We strive to provide quality accommodation and service. Please understand that there is extensive testing by all Internet Service providers in Nairobi city presently. There is a new fibre optic cable being installed to serve Nairobi and this has had an effect on Internet services offered temporarily. By virtue...

I spent two nights at Laico two weeks ago as I had a short conference in Narobi. I really enjoyed my sleep there and the service was fantastic. Although the food took a few extra minuted to be brought to me, It was splendid. I will surely be checking in at Laico anytime I have business in Nairobi. I operate... more

As you enter the grand regency premises it definatly looks promising, the first hiccup was at booking in reception, it seemed that they were not expecting me, where as a booking had been made a week in advance. After a few prolonged checks i was finally whisked to my room , the service and interaction from the porter was good,... more

I love the sense of the Kenyan hospitality (so different from the reserved British. sorry but it has to be said) , the sincerity of the staff and their obvious love for what they do, the excellent buffet they provide on the pool side at Sunday (i forgot the cost but I think it was about 18 USD for the... more

I live in Nairobi. Was staying over at the hotel after a friend treated me. Generally the hotel looks good. good location next to the city center. Room was ok ... generally clean. Had trouble with the air conditioning in the room the first night. Complained to the management ... it was sorted out eventually. Service was not bad. The... more

Hell experience in Laico Regency. Air-conditioning is hopeless. Noisy and not cool. Interior decoration is old and obsolete. Bed mattress is deformed and dented. The first night that I stayed in Laico Regency was even more terrifying. I was told that they were receiving a Spanish government delegation. They had to use the living room of a suite and put... more
