we have been returning to the Fair view for the last 15 years and have seen it grow and develop. It has become like a second home, great people and attentive staff

I've stayed here numerous times and it is always the same experience: excellent by local standards. This isn't the kind of experience you'll find at a Fairmont property in North America, but for Nairobi, this is a wonderful oasis in the urban chaos of this bustling city. There plenty of space to move around on the property itself, and the... More

The Fairview hotel made everything about Nairobi easy. The surrounds are very plesant indeed. The staff uber friendly and helpful. They are making some great inroads into being a sustainable venue and listened to the suggestion about reducing the amount of plastic water bottles. I look forward to hopefully seeing water fountains/coolers in the future. Getting to and from was... More

This is a wonderful place - doesn't just tick the boxes (location, value, rooms, facilities, security, food, service), it also has a rare ambience which its slogan - "the country hotel in town" - almost does justice to!! The only challenge is to be able to get availability when you want to book (although the hotel next door - The... More

I've been using the Fairview for over 15 years and each visit seems better than the previous one. THe Hotel has grown in stature and is extremely comfortable. Being able to enjoy the gardens from a couple of the restaurants allows one to totally unwind and forget the madding crowds of the citi centre. The rooms are classically comfortable, spacious... It is rare that the #1 ranked hotel in a major city is also the most reasonably priced, but that is the case with the Fairview. As former residents of the city who were returning for a 3 week stay we headed straight to the Fairview. Quite simply, it is the best Nairobi has to offer. Beautiful grounds, attentive staff,... My wife and I used the Fairview several times (4 nights) over 3 trips in and out of Nairobi. Although it is directly across the street from the Israeli Embassy (with heavy security) it provides a great location and world class hotel services. Their bar/sushi bar/light meal spot is half under cover and half in their fountain and stream garden.....very... More

For a first time visitor to Nairobi the drive is an experience like no other. The traffic is intense and chaotic. The Hotel Driver Simon was wonderful and made you feel safe! The bumpy streets and security made you wonder just what you had come to but when you arrive at the Gates of The Fairview, you are met with... More

My family(6 people total...three first class rooms) chose the Fairview to begin and end our safari from reviews on Tripadvisor. Our inbound visit to this tranquil local was without problem and our rooms were as promised..a lovely safe quiet spot in a dangerous and chaotic city. But on our return from an exciting but exhausting adventure with two children in tow,we find... Thank you for your feedback. Your disappointment with room allocation on the afternoon of your return visit is understandable. We do apologize that your third room had to wait due to a delayed check-out beyond our control. In addition to the complimentary dinner to make up for the disappointment, we are offering to refund you the night's charge for the... More

This hotel is beautiful and its website does not do it justice. The room we had was spacious and very comfortable. Bed was delicious and showers were hot which after coming off a Safari were a welcome pleasure:) Due to an emergency we needed to stay an extra day, having 3 rooms this was quite difficult and although they were...
