Pros: Classic decor and you can admire the quality wood that built this place long ago. Quality shower and bathroom. Cons: Staff not attentive, and breakfast was horrible, even freshly cooked eggs tasted off that made us both unwell. This is surprising being a city hotel, and with such limited guests staying in, they really shouldn't put on such a... More

The Fairview Hotel in Nairobi is truly remarkable. It is established on a large two hectare park-like property with huge trees and beautiful gardens in the middle of bustling Nairobi. However, it is both the immaculate service and superb food that sets this hotel apart. Breakfast, lunches and dinner (at the large swimming pool) were as good as you can... More

The Fairview is one of a kind - and, although has recently been taken over by City Lodge group, has retained its independent style. The gardens and restaurants contribute to the feeling of space and peace but the proximity to Nairobi central allows for quick (depending on traffic!) access to meetings. The rooms are perhaps a little rustic, but are... More

Situated on the outskirts of the city centre the hotel provides excellent accommodation and a variety of meals/restaurants to suit all palates. Our stay lasted 7 nights, split to suit a safari trip to Masai Mara. The staff are keen to please and everything about Fairview reflects professional management and customer attention. The hotel is mostly used by business travellers... More

Three of us stayed here recently. The hotel is large, very clean, has beautiful gardens, good dining and very large en-suite bedrooms. It is also very secure, being next to the Israeli embassy with armed guards in the street and the hotel itself has a large secure fence around it with security entrance. This seems to be normal in Nairobi.... More

Our booking, made and paid for months ago, was not honoured and when we arrived at 11pm we were put in an inferior 3* hotel next door. Though we were moved the next morning, not every 'first class' room has aircon and ours didn't. Open windows don't really go with the noisy building site next door! I'm sure there are... More

This charming hotel has a lot to offer especially if in town for work. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. There is an outdoor pool area to unwind with a Whitecap in the evening with a nice pool. If your being picky the pool could be warmer, the Wi-Fi more consistent and there are... More

Staff are incredibly hospitable and helpful. The hotel's grounds are beautiful and very peaceful, and the restaurants are generally very good, particularly Pango. Great to have taxi drivers outside who you can trust - remember to negotiate a price for your journey before departing. Minor negative points: sushi from the cafe bar probably made me ill, wi-fi in my room... More

Fairview is a beautiful, very silent yet central hotel with excellent service and a breakfast buffet I have yet to see the like in any other hotels in Kenya. I was there only for a stopover during Christmas time but enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Only negatives? The taxi drivers that the hotel has waiting outside their door were very aggressive... More

The Fairview hotel is located in Bishops road. It is a silent place (However they are building a big tower in the neighbourhood). The staff is superfriendly and the food in the three restaurants is delicious with a big variety in choices. The rooms are all nice in colonial style and most of the rooms have a lot of space....
