Amazing staff, service, food and glorious rooms. You don't feel like you in the middle of the city center with the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. Highly recommend you try the Tilapia and chocolate lava cake!

The Norfolk has a friendly and forthcoming staff. Plush lodgings and breakfast was superb. 3 nights for conference at Lavington and an overnight after driving back from Maasai Mara and African Road massage. Well kept premises. Thank you for a very pleasant stay in Nairobi!

We visited on a Friday, and lo and behold we were the only ones at the terrace!!! The food was good, as was the service, but the exorbitant prices did not match!!! I won't be tempted to go back soon. Norfolk do something to bring the customers back on Friday night.

Great place to stay but it is expensive. This is a classic hotel in Africa. Good place to stay before you head out on safari. The staff is very good. The food was also very good. The rooms are quite nice. We would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

We checked in late afternoon on a Saturday. The lady at reception kept forgetting our surname and I found that rude. Even though we had light luggage, she did not offer to get a porter to take them to the room. The room steward called Simon was delightful and warm and was such a pleasant surprise from previous dull service... More

Very attentive staff, lovely grounds and rooms, nice restaurant with amazing French Onion Soup. VERY KINDLY allowed us to extend our final day to 5:00 pm because our flight left Nairobi at 11:00 pm. Bathroom shower needs work - mold not attractive. Will certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nairobi.

I stayed at the Fairmont for four days and it was easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The service was exceptional across the board, from the porters to the turn down service. The rooms were spotlessly clean, tidy, and well-appointed. The food was the absolutely highlight of the trip for me. I've spent the last... More

My husband and I overnighted here on the way to starting our safari. Not much to say about it...it is a Fairmont, after all. It was a good enough place to stay in both directions, comfy best, reasonably tasty food, although I do believe that both of us got a little sick here. I had a four day stomach problem... More

I spent three lovely days in this lovely hotel that oozes "old world" charm. Breakfasts & the one dinner we had at the hotel were delicious & the service the staff offered was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a good start, or a fabulous ending, to any Kenyan holiday or if you were in town on business.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel has played a leading role in Kenya's colorful history, and continues to be the best-known luxury hotel in Nairobi. The town and later the modern city of Nairobi grew up around Fairmont The Norfolk hotel, which still has its own private tropical gardens.
