Expensive but worth every penny.Nairobi is a very busy city with traffic all the time. Its really hard to get around. Coming back to the hotel was relaxing and enjoyed the bar. Nice TVs and free internet. Service is good but could not compare to the Sarena Zanzibar& Serena kampala. It was a busy hotel and very close to the... More

All the required amenities for a business hotel including a well set up gym and 25m pool (currently under refurbishment so I was not able to use it) and free wifi. Well located in the city but off the main roads. Rooms are very comfortable and for once I cannot fault the cushions – they have a choice of 6... More

excellent location, friendly staff. Even though the swimming pool is currently under refurbishment, it has a relaxing atmosphere. free wifi everywhere and well serviced (newspaper and rooms service as often as you like). Breakfast is overpriced ($30)but the buffet is extensive. Don't try to travel in rush hour by car or bus (7-9am, 4-7pm).

This is an accessible and very pleasant hotel, clean and well-managed. It is on a busy Nairobi strip, but you don't really "feel" the busy-ness once inside. There is a decent gym and good swimming pool. Staff are friendly and helpful. It could use a bit of a facelift, as some say, but it is not worn down or frayed... More

To be honest, I was mildly dissapointed with the hotel. Most of this can be attributed to my room being very close to the lifts, and, a particularly loud next door guest. The walls are surprisingly thin, and the noise of the lift motors (and the next door nightmare) kept me awake. I also found the room to be very... More

The Serena hotel is located just off the main highway that runs right across Kenya and happens to go through the middle of Nairobi, which is why the city's traffic is so awful. This means the hotel is reasonably easy to reach at off-peak times but it also means that there is always a constant low-level rumble of traffic. The... More

Wonderful hotel. Clean, well-appointed rooms including Penhaligon's toiletries, great restaurants, and excellent, friendly, attentive staff.

The serena is a strong brand, always producing good hotels and lodges, but this location needs a little facelift. Its an older hotel. Good staff, good food, rooms are dated.

I went to serena for the brunch there. It was not that great. The service team was the only thing happening. They had relatively old decor, it hasn't changed since the 90s. The food and the menu was dated and unimpressive for the price we paid. There was salmon under a lightbulb that was completely dried out. The salad section... More
