We atayd in the Serena for 1 night before travelling to the Masai Mara the next day. The hotel was perfect for our needs. The suite we had was spotless and spacious, the bathroom huge. All the staff were very effeicent and friendly. We had drinks in the bar before dinner which was lovely apart from the 3 "ladies" obviously... More

I see that someone has given this hotel an average rating because the pool wasn't open. I think this is slightly unfair as it ignores the fact that the staff, the rooms, the bar, the restaurant and the breaksfast are just superb. I know review on TripAdvisor are based on personal experience but I can honestly say that I didn't... More

We stayed her for 1 night at the end of our safari before flying back to the UK. We booked this hotel because it was recommended as somewhere with a nice pool area where we could relax and spend the afternoon before our long journey the following day. Unfortunately neither our Tour Operator (Virgin) nor the hotel informed us prior... More

We stayed at the Serena for only a few hours as we were returning from safari (flights typically arrive from "the bush" in the morning) and waiting for our evening flight back to the states. The hotel is well situated, immaculately clean and quiet. The room was very nice with excellent water pressure. I would have enjoyed staying longer.

We stayed for a 1night while travelling to Tanzania for Safari. This was one of the most luxurious hotels I have been in outside the US. Great ambiance, and the restaurant was awesome. We had interconnecting rooms for our family which worked out very nicely. Hotel did Airport pickup and drop.....I was wondering who that E-class was for at the... More

Expensive but worth every penny.Nairobi is a very busy city with traffic all the time. Its really hard to get around. Coming back to the hotel was relaxing and enjoyed the bar. Nice TVs and free internet. Service is good but could not compare to the Sarena Zanzibar& Serena kampala. It was a busy hotel and very close to the... More

All the required amenities for a business hotel including a well set up gym and 25m pool (currently under refurbishment so I was not able to use it) and free wifi. Well located in the city but off the main roads. Rooms are very comfortable and for once I cannot fault the cushions – they have a choice of 6... More

excellent location, friendly staff. Even though the swimming pool is currently under refurbishment, it has a relaxing atmosphere. free wifi everywhere and well serviced (newspaper and rooms service as often as you like). Breakfast is overpriced ($30)but the buffet is extensive. Don't try to travel in rush hour by car or bus (7-9am, 4-7pm).

This is an accessible and very pleasant hotel, clean and well-managed. It is on a busy Nairobi strip, but you don't really "feel" the busy-ness once inside. There is a decent gym and good swimming pool. Staff are friendly and helpful. It could use a bit of a facelift, as some say, but it is not worn down or frayed... More

To be honest, I was mildly dissapointed with the hotel. Most of this can be attributed to my room being very close to the lifts, and, a particularly loud next door guest. The walls are surprisingly thin, and the noise of the lift motors (and the next door nightmare) kept me awake. I also found the room to be very... More
