I have been a guest at this hotel now for nearly a week (I am on a two week biz trip to Nairobi) and I absolutely love it. My room is comfortable, clean and large. The breakfast is amazing and food and drinks in the bar are terrific. This hotel is a perfect combo of 5 star comfort and exotic... More

We loved the Serena - stayed here on two separate occasions on our African trip and found it to be an excellent choice. The service is fantastic throughout the hotel and staff went the extra mile for us in various ways. It offers the comfort of an international chain but with a distinctly and proudly African feel. Best breakfast buffet... More

Good hotel in the middle of Nairobi. I was expecting quite a lot but I found the rooms to be a bit small and darker than I thought. Service was great though with some really fantastic staff. perhaps we got a bit unlucky but the food we had on arrival took an age, arrived at different times and was pretty... More

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly, generally very good, but expensive for what you get, especially the breakfast. Also got service charge on just about anything you eat and drink. Room very nice, room service fast and realiable.

The Nairobi Serena hotel was a very good choice for a hotel in Nairobi. It is very safe, with security check points at every entrance. The decor is lovely, with authentic, museum quality african art on display in all hotel public areas. The rooms are large and well appointed, although the bathrooms could use an update. The food is good,... More

This hotel was a five star hotel. We were treated very well. The service was exceptional. The grounds very clean and the food was a very good. Would love to return someday. There is a beautiful pool area and gym area was good size. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The Serena knows it is good and it delivers. Classic styling, excellent service, a fabulous buffet, and convenient to the airport. It's in the hustle and bustle of the city so getting to and from the airport can be tricky depending on the time of day. Still, if you are new to the city, it gives you a taste. We... More

We have stayed there for 10 nights ( work related ). While the baths are a bit run down everything else was nearly perfect : breakfast had a huge variety, brunch was good as well, steaks at dinner were perfect. Rooms were superbly cleaned, towels changed daily or even twice a day, turn down service as well. Air cons good... More

We stayed at the Serena hotel as a stop over, either side of our trip to the Masai Mara for our honeymoon. Following recent events in Kenya and UK government advice, we were unsure what to expect. Firstly, the hotel felt extremely safe - lots of security and guards present without being intrusive. However, Nairobi felt and is, a very... More
