my husband and I stayed at this hotel in January 2012 and found it really nice. Our room was rather small but that was the only downside of it and a bit pricy but i guess worth it. There is a Spur steak ranch on one side of the hotel but you have the choice of eating from the hotel... More

We called at this colonial type hotel three times during our kenyan safari - over-night on arrival, for lunch half way through and on the day of our departure. Room was clean and comfortable, food was good and staff friendly and very attentive. There is a steak house type restaurant attached to the hotel, where we ate the first night... More

Simply the best place to stay in nairobi, westlands, easy access to Westlands properties and not miles away from city centre. Wifi works like a dream. staff are superb!General manager is "awesome" for lack of a better word. there is no such thing as NO. Best value for money. Not sure why more safari companies are not using it.

I have stayed here twice...am actually writing this from my room right now. It is a beautiful, colonial era hotel. The courtyard is the scenic highlight of the place: giant old trees, a nice pool, bar and restaurant by the pool. I really like the first floor rooms that have French doors opening to the courtyard. And the staff has... More

I stayed for 3 hours at the hotel. Surely it was good but the price for 1 night it is unacceptable. Surely it is not value of money. I hope they can decrease their price. I wish to go back in the first journey.

The Mayfair is a beautiful hotel, especially for Nairobi. Nairobi hotels are in general outrageously expensive for what you get, compared to most other developing country cities. However, the Mayfair made up for the price with a combination of beautiful public areas and gardens, outstanding and friendly staff, excellent breakfast and reasonably nice room. The hotel is also in a... More

A really great place in such controversual city as Nairobi is - qiuet, green while close to the center and main roads. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Quality of the food requires a special remark. We were group of 6 planned to start safari next day upon arrival to Nairobi, but decided to stay in the hotel one more... More

Well worth the price. This is a nice hotel, clean and excellent service. I spent several night here and enjoyed my stay. The attached restaurant offers up some really good steaks. The hotel is close to several amenities and night clubs. Walking distance to two of Nairobi's larger malls.

Our party of 7 came into the airport at Nairobi late, tired, and hungry. We were greeted by a very nice driver from the hotel who took care of everything. We found the hotel to be lovely and charming. But the best thing was the food - even though it was around 8 pm, the buffet out in the spacious... More

Yes the rooms are a little tired but nevertheless we had a good nights sleep. We just wanted a night in Nairobi prior to going on safari and this hotel ticked all the boxes. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. The bar staff equally so, the restaurant staff too and the food was really good, what it said on... More
