My husband surprised me with a weekend stay at the Emakoko for my birthday, and it was fantastic! The Emakoko is perfectly situated in Nairobi National Park and therefore so close to all the wildlife that it has to offer. The lodge itself is gorgeous... well-designed and decorated rooms with balconies that look out over the pool and into the... More

I stayed at The Emakoko on New Years Eve last year with some family friends (3 of those being primary school aged children) and it was easily one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Anthony, Emma and many of the staff. We instantly felt welcome and after chatting for... More

Having stayed here in March with my daughter I was always going to have to return with my wife. This place is just beautiful and has it all - relaxing in the luxuriously appointed rooms or main lounge and dining areas, or sunning it up by the pool, and the lure of the National Park is what makes this location... This lodge is located inside the Nairobi Park so, if you are looking for nightlife (other than passing animals) this is not the place for you. It takes about 20 minutes to arrive at the lodge from the main gate through the park and can be a little daunting if you arrive at night like we did. Once you do... More

Emakoko is beautiful and charming. The location is wild Africa and yet so close to the capital city. The owners and staff were warm and friendly and fun. Service and cuisine are first class. The rooms are spacious and elegant and throughout the whole lodge, the attention to detail is impressive. Our guide on the game drive was entertaining and... More

This is our second trip to the Emakoko, it is truly amazing, nestling on the edge of the Mbarathi river which runs along the border to the Nairobi National park. The rooms which are in individual cottages are huge, comfortable and stylish. The food is really excellent and the hospitality of Emma and Anthony is really first class. The Nairobi... More

We arrived here from 6 days safari to wind down before our long journey home. We where greeted warmly when we arrived by Rachel and her staff. We where shown to our room on the ground level(thank goodness) didn't fancy the long hike up to the upper ones, I'm sure the view would be stunning though. The room was huge... More

Thank you for your lovely review and comments about the fish dish. I must admit I am no fan of fish and this is quote possibly the only fish recipe that I will eat - I am glad you felt the same way. Sorry we missed you. Emma & Anthony More

Myself and my boyfriend only stayed at Emakoko for 1 night at the end of our trip to Kenya as we did not need to fly back to England until the day after. From the moment we landed in Nairobi the whole experience was fantastic. Our driver was at the airport to meet us and explained to us what we... More

I have just enjoyed a second visit to the Emakoko where I had the most lovely, if short, stay. I was very well looked after by Rachael and made to feel very welcome as the only solo traveller at the lodge at the time. I had asked for a room at the top of the hill and it was a... More
