This is our absolute favorite lodge in Nairobi - it doesn't get any better than landing at the international airport and being in the bush within an hour! No better way to start or end your safari. Emma and Anton have truly created the perfect piece of paradise here, with amazing food, great company, wonderful staff, all in a beautiful... More

Staying at this hotel and taking part in the game drives was an amazing experience. The hotel is luxurious and the service impeccable. Rachel the relief manager was so helpful and friendly making us feel totally at home. The food was an excellent standard. The best part was the game drive, we had James as our driver, he was knowledgable,... More

What a gem deep in the valley on the boundary of Nairobi national park,we traveled to this marvelous establishment after reading the wonderful reviews and consulting a couple of friends with first hand knowledge concerning African/Kenyan safari. We settled for it given the location after so many advisories against travel to Kenya by our government and probably others. The location I... More

As a regular visitor to Kenya, I am always looking for the perfect place to land for a couple of days before or after venturing out into the bush. There are many nice places to stay, but after finding The Emakoko I will look no further. Their hospitality is extraordinary, the rooms are large and elegant and perfectly equipped, and... More

I thought I'd written a review of this fantastic Lodge/Hotel but had not so excuse the late posting. I travelled here in October 2013 and stayed here for two nights, one night either side of my trip to the Masai Mara. The overnight flight from London to JKIA was a busy flight and we got little or no sleep and... More

Thank you for your review, it is always such a feather in ones cap to hear so many lovely things being written about us all. It has been a while since you were here last, but with the dry season kicking in we are inundated with wildlife in the lodge. Only a week ago, we had a black Rhino outside... More

We stayed here as a special anniversary surprise for my husband. What a fantastic decision! From the moment we arrived, we were utterly charmed by the place.......it's location, the accommodation (huge and luxurious, without being ostentatious), the food, and, last but not least, the whole staff team. Emma and Anton are both friendly, sociable hosts who are easy to talk... More

This really is a special place! In the heart of the Nairobi National Park there is the prospect of seeing all kinds of wildlife around the facility, including a resident hippo ironically named "Tinker". For those of a nervous disposition do not fear, rangers and Masai are on hand (and in number) at all times of day and night. The... More

Emma and Anton and their amazing team made our holiday and our wedding, unforgettable. The Emakoko is just gorgeous. From the minute you drive down into the secluded valley and cross the bridge, you're transported to somewhere special. A delicious lime and tangawizi cocktail welcomes you to the lodge...that and the smiles on everyones faces...and Pala the friendly impala. The... More

Just returned home from a wonderful wedding at The Emakoko. Fantastic setting, great hosts (in Emma & Anthony), lovely rooms and exquisite food made for a perfect wedding weekend! The visit was topped off with a game drive that took in rhinos and lions.
