The drive through Nairobi National Park to Emakoko can seem long, hot and dusty, but once you arrive there it is like another reviewer said, an oasis. The hosts could not be friendlier, the staff attentive and very helpful and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We stayed here on our way out of Nairobi several years ago and... More

The Nairobi National Park is often overlooked by tourists, who land at JKIA and then head straight off to the Mara. If you do this, you are missing out on one of the best kept secrets in Kenya. The Emakoko Lodge is amazing, situated on the bank of the Athi River, accessed from the Nairobi National Park via a foot... More

Having journeyed through the park to reach the lodge we took the opportunity to tour the park on a self drive game drive.before lunch. The game drive proved as exciting as the lodge itself. The rooms are spectacular, overlooking the valley, the ambiance of the lodge equally special, with the communal bar and lounge areas tastefully decorated and furnished. The... More

We came here for a girls night, and had the hotel to ourselves. It was amazing! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was great, and it is a gorgeous place. I already have, and would definitely recommend it to others.

I cant say enough great things about this place. I am a tour operator with Opulent Africa so I visited partly for work reasons but took my family with me and we all loved it! The lodge is totally unique so hard to compare with the other Nairobi properties but I think it offers excellent value for money if you... More

I stayed twice at Emakoko recently, once with my son and once with my wife. It really is a quality destination that will please anyone that stays there. Nairobi National park is quite close to Nairobi airport and Emakoko is adjacent to the National Park. We flew in at 6am and the driver/guide picked us up. After a little trip... More

This was my fourth trip to Kenya and by far the best start I had previously been with a volunteer group so the time in Nairobi was spent in nunneries What a treat to stay here. We were picked up from the airport and what a delight to have a "game drive" on the very first night. We saw nocturnal... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review, and we apologise for the wildlife stealing all your chocolate and tooth paste! One of the hazards of living in the bush. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your safari and hope to meet again. All the very best, Emma & Anthony More

The Emakoko was an excellent choice for a weekend out, from the hectic city. We arrived at the Emakoko in the evening through the main gate of the Nairobi National park enroute a game drive, though it was hot and dusty. We were received well by the host Emma and check in was a breeze. The cold towel was refreshing... More

We arrived at this wonderful, intimate lodge after a long 24 hours+ of travel from the US. To our grateful surprise, they had prepared a delicious light supper for us in front of a glowing, romantic fireplace. All meals were excellent and creative, far surpassing our expectations. The lodge is located on the edge of Nairobi National Park. On our... More
