this was an unexpected venture to Acacia, all I did was follow directions(I was the designated driver) and I was abit disappointed when asked to turn into some non-descript road :-) but they say that good things come to those who wait.\1 since this was an unplanned trip, we had dinner in one of the most tranquil settings I have... I would have to disagree with the review below...The food is excellent here and the service is outstanding . I felt very much at home and comfortable. The rates at the lodge are very affordable and well worth it in my opinion as there is quite a bit to see and do around the lodge , not to mention it's... More

Though pre-agreed with the restaurant manager that our friends and us will get 3 course meal for 1,500 kenya shillings, we were deeply disappointed and shocked to get a very poor main course (plain rice and a stew) without first course, the so-called "dessert" was combined of 1/8 pre-eaten cake for 20 (!) people and an unfresh "fruit salad" (combined... It was a great getaway with my family. We enjoyed seeing the animals so close than ever before. We loved the food too that was mouth watering. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely recommend anyone to Acacia Camp. We will be back very soon with my family again because this is the place to be.

Much to my delight I am able to stay at Acacia camp several times during the year. I run training courses using Acacia camp's excellent facilities and surroundings and if anyone needs a venue for work gatherings this place is ideal. Beyond that it is a wonderful place simply to relax and let the hours drift by. New management arrived... More

This is a truly wonderful place. Classic "African" experience right on the edge of Nairobi. If you want luxury accommodation this isn't for you. The rooms/cottages are basic but this adds to the charm. I love the place. Vistas from the polo pitch are stunning - perfect for a Tusker sun-downer. Gill is a great host and it feels like... More

Had a lovely drive and walk through the ranch. Saw *lots* of wildlife including wildebeeste, zebra, giraffe, antelope, eland, warthogs and gazelles. Sunbirds, woodpeckers and weavers right in the camp gardens. Lovely for quiet getaway, small conference, family weekend.

Stayed here instead of Nairobi and so glad we did. Great basic cottages but in a lovely traditional style. The kids loved being able to run around the beautiful grounds and we took a walk out amongst the zebra and different antelope. Didn't realise there were bikes until too late which would've been fun - next time! The food was... More

Some friends and I had intended to camp here, but after seeing some of the bandas on offer and how cost friendly it was, we decided to upgrade! We went in mid-December, and we were the only guests around. Nonetheless, the service was great and the staff very friendly. We went for the all inclusive option and the food was... More

A lovely little spot close to Nairobi for a perfect weekend trip. Many of the rooms have recently been upgraded, making it even better. The food is amazing and the people are very friendly and helpful. Excellent bird watching opportunities, but you will see plenty of bigger animals as well.
