I highly recommend 3-day Maasai Mara Safari with Andrew and Ben. Fantastic experience and very professional guide and chef. We felt very secure and looked after. No delays, absolutely no problems. Most importantly we had a chance to see the big five. Very good value for money. I will be definately coming back again!

This is a peaceful place to stay. They moved lately to this new place. Cool, shady garden and clean rooms. Livingroom has nice couches and the wifi is good. Safaris can be booked also, bit cheaper than the usual fees in Kenya.

We stayed in Milimani Backpackers several times during December/January 2014/2015 between different trips in Kenya (safari, beach, Mt. Kenya). We stayed in a private room (called Simba). Accommodation The room was very big and had its own balcony and toilets/shower. It was clean and the equipment was fine, not luxury but perfect suited for own needs. The WiFi Connection was... More

First review I´ve ever written, but this needs to be known… Summary: Company delays departure and makes you do all your drives within a 24 hour timeframe so that they only have to pay for one day instead of two. They then produce a lot of lies and try to cover it up. Background: Apparently the Milimani Backpackers have moved... More

Nice place, mostly because Nairobi lacks other nice hostels or campsites. Dorms are fine. Hot showers once in a while. Staff is very keen on the money, which is sometimes a little annoying. The safes are charged for, even if you use your own padlock. No self-catering facilities and dinner is quite expensive (for budget backpackers), which is frustrating given... More

Great atmosphere, cozy place, Friendly staff. It has tv, books, and give & take box for backpackers. Dorms are fine and clean, hot showers. Check for Milimani location, since they move around a lot. A good place to relax for a few days in nairobi.

I stayed here for two nights in June 2014 having booked it from Australia. The staff were helpful and the food was so reasonably priced that I went back after I had even stayed at the Kivi Millman Hotel down the road. They had some handy brochures and the staff could speak good English. The first night I was in... More

I and my travel companion stayed in Milimani for several days at the end of July, 2014, and took a safari with them. For each: -- Accommodation: Totally sufficient and basic - with no problems. Value for the money (2,500 KSh for a double) seemed fine given the poor value of accommodation in Nairobi. -- Food: Food was very good,... More

I stayed in the dorm at Milimani Backpackers for about one week before and after a safari. I used to stay at Upperhill Campsite/Backpackers, but it closed for renovations so I tried out this place. The dorm rooms are decent, but only about half of the beds have mosquito nets. I noticed that the place becomes substantially busier on Saturday... More

I have never left a comment on Tripadvisor but decided to do so for the first time as my experience of the Milimani Safari centre was rotten. I went to Hells Gate and Lake Naivasha. While it was marginally cheaper than some of the more-established companies every corner was cut to save on the experience. First the tour left way... More
