Having been misdirected at the main gate, it took us the better half of the afternoon to find the camp which is, as other reviewers have pointed out, not in the Mara itself. The access road is pretty terrible but once you get to the camp, it is a lovely little oasis of green and quiet. The staff were attentive... More

This camp is delightful, super comfy beds, food was great, picnic packs for safari awesome, the grounds were super quiet. We were told that the camp was within the Masai Mara- it certainly IS NOT. Highly recommend the Masai village tour if you are interested in knowing more about the masai people. There were spiders in the room so beware... More

My group and I had a great time at the Ol-moran camp! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the chef prepares great meals! The reception and common are is very cozy and inviting. The tents themselves were very clean and I found the beds to be particularly soft and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend staying here and would visit... More

The tent was excellent and my daughter loved it as well. Hot water (sizzling hot) was available from 5:30 PM until some time in the morning and that was perfect since we returned from game drives after 6:00 PM and left at about 7:30 AM. We had requested vegetarian food and the manager remembered that when we checked in. In... More

We stayed in several camps and lodges on our safari and while this one has potential the food and service were below average. The wifi was down and had been for sometime with no apparent attention to getting it operational for clients. When paying our bar bill we were told they take cash only although there was no signage anywhere... More

We feel that the above stated review does not relate to our camp due to the fact that 1, we have / have never had WiFi at the tented camp thus its not possible for the same to be non-operational & also we are located at the Masai Mara game reserve and no noise can be heard except that of... More

Despite being a tour consultant, I love adventures so I accompanied a group of friends (6 adults and 3 children). Maureen and all staff were very welcoming. The camp is sparkling clean and food is fresh. Day 2 we went to the park for a full day and the packed lunch was wow and even those who are heavy eaters... More

My children (ages 6 and 8), husband and I went on safari and stayed here. It was awesome and the tents are perfect because they have toilets and hot water (from 5:30 pm until about 10am, I think). It was an authentic safari experience and it was also quite comfy!

Pros: this resort had the tastiest food we've had on our trip, but the selection was very small. The units are ensuite. The restroom is separated from the bedroom by a tent flap, so not that much privacy. Service was wonderful. Cons: the grounds are unkempt. From the outside, the lodge looks real terrible and dodgy. The tent zipper was... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

We stayed two nights in early April. The accommodation was better than expected, with only the sleeping accommodation actually "tented", but joined to a solid-structure shower and toilet facility. The staff and manager were so friendly and helpful. The food was really good, especially the breakfast, and we got a lovely packed lunch for our full day safari. The bar... More

Even though this is a tented camp the rooms have permanent in-suit bathrooms, which was nice. Warm water and electricity are only available during specific times, which was problematic when we arrived home early one day. However, they can turn the heat on if you ask (as we realized afterwards). This was a very cosy place with nice food and... More
