My family has stayed several times as we travel through Nairobi. We always enjoy our stay - good rooms, good food, great service, playground, basketball court, and relaxing grounds to enjoy. Low cost.

This is the best hotel deal in Nairobi. I have been visiting Nairobi multiple times a year since 2012, and this is my go-to stop when I have to spend the night in the city. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is reliable, friendly, and invested in providing guests with a positive experience, the neighborhood is good as Nairobi goes,... More

This is a lovely guest house with amazing grounds. The rooms are simple, but extremely clean and well kept up. There is good wifi throughout the facility and a laundry room that guests can use which is lovely after long dusty safaris. The gardens are exquisite and make for a lovely retreat from the craziness of Nairobi. The restaurant serves... More

Love the original "historic" part of this guesthouse and the older rooms best. They are very comfortable and are like stepping back in time to a Nairobi that once was--very quaint, charming, lovely gardens and private verandas and sitting spaces throughout the gardens. The new addition rooms are very comfortable as well, generously-sized, also with private veranda and en suite... More

Amani is quiet and peaceful with beautiful garden spaces and green lawn. And that is the best feature of this Inn. The rooms are definitely older and basic. Beds also are the same. We had a shower in our room but not all rooms do. Good hot water. No TV. Wi Fi was not very good. The breakfast was improved... More

After a long day this in the ideal place to return to in order to relax/chill out. Beautiful surroundings, good food and comfortable rooms in which to rest and all at very affordable prices but for me what really made my stay so wonderful were the staff who were courteous and always seemed to have a smile as they worked.... The gardens, accommodations, and food were wonderful! The atmosphere was completely peaceful. I left feeling so relaxed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. My room had a private balcony looking into the gardens which was a fantastic bonus to my lovely room. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

We have occasionally been staying at Amani since 1980 and have unfailingly found it to be quiet, peaceful and restful - very special after busy and stressful travels. The staff is courteous, the meals delicious and the garden beautiful. We look forward to staying there again.

Coming from a more remote part of East Africa, Amani Gardens was like an oasis. The gardens and playground were fantastic for our 2 year old; we enjoyed the food; the room was spacious and the staff helpful. We spent some meals meeting other guests and some on our own and both were fine. We'll be back next time we're... More

This is the best guesthouse I have stayed at in Nairobi. I was there before (10 years ago) when it was the Mennonite Guest House. At that time it really seemed removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. I noticed on this trip though, that there are several tall buildings being built nearby. This is a little bit... More
