I was in Kenya for a reunion, revisiting friends and places from the 70s when I attended high school in Nairobi. It was a first visit for my husband. We were looking for a place to stay that was more in tune with a local experience - definitely not another hotel that might as well be in Seattle or Amsterdam.... More

The staff at Sandavy are absolutely wonderful. Phyllis is an amazing hostess, Peter's smile could light up the sky, and Moses makes some killer fried eggs. We had a wonderful stay at Sandavy-- it's a very secure place, with a family feel to the way they do business (though if boundaries are important to you, you can have that too).... More

Sandavy Guest House (B&B) is a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed the entire experience - the staff is incredibly helpful and energetic. Breakfast was lovely everyday - dinners were great as well. Staff will help with transportation, laundry, getting around Nairobi, Safari's etc. We did a 1 day safari that was a great value and really incredible. Enjoy your... More

Overall happy with the stay. This place is quite basic bare bones but had all the essentials and was very affordable. The location is in a nicer part of town. The grounds were quite lovely and safe as well. The service was excellent. They provided us with transportation to/from the airport. They also set us up with an excursion to... More

The staff provide excellent service and respond to all questions and concerns. They go the extra mile to ensure a great experience in Kenya. The food is excellent and affordable (for dinner). Their touring services gave us a unique and customized experience. We selected the places we wanted to see and even some of the accommodations in those places. David... More

This well maintained guesthouse, situated far enough from the city centre to feel safe, but close enough to get to the city centre by bus in less than 30 minutes, has been the one place for me to hide away for the hectic city life. Not that it's deserted as I have been hardly alone in the guesthouse for the... More

I stayed at Sandavy Guesthouse in between my safaris during December 2009. The guesthouse has been lovingly restored and the attention to detail is second to none. During my various stays I stayed in the Greater Flamingo, Lesser Flamingo and Cordon Bleu rooms. Each room was very comfortable, clean and private. The staff couldn't do enough for me, they were... My husband and I stayed at Sandavy for 3 nights on our first trip to Africa, prior to going on safari. It was a clean and very comfortable place to stay. The gardens are lovely, location is quiet and secure. David and Sandi have an excellent knowledge of the needs of westerners and the culture of Africa, which is very... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife on our way home from a holiday in Madagascar. We stayed in the greater Flamingo room which is the best they have. We found it to be spotlessly clean and reasonably well furnished. The King size bed although looking inviting turned out to be rock hard. The breakfasts were fairly basic and the... More

Visited Nairobi, Kenya for a week and stayed at Sandavy Guest House Bed and Breakfast with my 12 year old son. This definitely felt like home away from home. The staff give personalized attention and are flexible in accommodating special request. Nothing was too much of an effort for them as they were always willing to help and were concerned... More
