Was there for lunch today, the waiter was very unfriendly . Told us that the food would take an hour to serve and was not happy to serve clients. Was demotivated!!! We left the place immediately. Otherwise the view of chania falls is very good.

we stay at the Blue Post in Thika every year in January. We are there with a group called Helping Hands. The accommodations are great, the food is great and the entire staff of the Blue Post is great. We are treated like family.

After eating too much meat, meat, meat in kenya, got a break when I ordered masala chips, roast potatoes, and samosa here. The masala chips tasted even better the next morning. Great view of falls, reasonable pricing, and good food.

The old pioneers needed a place to stay on the journey north from Nairobi during the early colonial days. Just opposite the Chania Falls, a Blue Post Hotel was built, to offer a break before going north to the white Man's Country and the highlands. The hotel was gradually extended and became a popular stop over to watch to 2... More

The hotel is nested between two waterfalls and the gardens are well kept we had to wait for twenty service before we could get service which was wanting the food was okay. The children's park was average lots needs to be done. I found it expensive for such standards.

I went to Blue Post with a couple for friends for lunch. It was my first time there and I didn't know what to expect. The garden just outside the restaurant has a spectacular view of a waterfall. I found this place very Kenyan. I don't know how to explain it really. There was a 2 man band playing kenyan... More

Try the reasonable priced buffet at only 1200 ksh for chicken, stew beef and lots of vegetables. Good lunch option is spicy Samosas + soup. Also tried the Soup of Muteta, a bush broth made with bones and served with Muteta broth, an herb broth. Interesting flavor but not a soup that I could finish and don't need to try... More
