While vacationing in Kenya in particular Nairobi, a stay at Wildebeest Eco Camp is memorable experience. Here you are introduced to the bush in the city before you get to the bush. I have stayed here before as a solo traveller, and always found the service and support from staff excellent, so I knew that it would be a perfect base for a family trip to East Africa. I travelled with my 5 boys aged between 7 and 16y and stayed for 3 non-consecutive nights in Dorm tent A. It was absolutely... More

As a jumping off point upon landing in, or leaving from, Nairobi, you could not find a more secluded, peaceful and beautiful setting located just outside the city. This is not a McHotel, but a unique boutique experience. The tents are beautifully appointed, modern and spotless. The grounds are lovely and at night the noises the frogs make will lull... More

We stayed in a tent with en-suite shower room which was roomy and comfortable. The grounds are lovely and provide a really relaxing haven after a day battling the Nairobi traffic. The dinner buffet is good value as are the drinks at the bar. All the staff are very helpful which is just what you need when you have anything... More

Wildebeest Eco Camp was amazing. Maybe it was because my friends and I had spent most of our time in Kenya in a rural setting prior to that, so our expectations were significantly raised, but the ambience and the décor of the camp were splendid. The three of us shared a Deluxe tent with an ensuite bathroom - interior was... More

Located a bit outside the city but totally worth the effort. Amazing place to stay. Set on beautiful grounds (the gardens/landscaping of which is 80% complete and works continues), friendly helpful staff, good food, clean, modern accommodation and facilities, good WIFI in the common area. Short walk (15 mins approx) to Galleria for shops, variety of eateries, the elephant orphanage... More

This is a great place to start any safari holiday.... stayed here only one night but it was great. Great atmosphere. Big open spaces. Great wi fi at the restaurant. Tented accomodation was really good with hot water and a great bed to rest. Enjoyed it very much!!!!! Airport transfers were great too.

Arriving at Wildebeest in Nairobi is like coming home! Always clean, staff very friendly, food great and feels very safe and secure. Location is great - near to Galleria for good food, and just 10 minutes from Nairobi National Park, the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Sanctuary. I am always sad to leave Wildebeest!

This place has the potential to very a fantastic alternative stay in Nairobi. It has lovely gardens, but a very big empty pond. It caters for all types of travellers, tented accommodation, camping and rooms. We arrived late due to our plane being delayed by 4 hours and had to wait while guests at reception were complaining loudly. The buffet... More
