Beautiful place with garden, pond, pool and the safari tents. I have stayed at wildebeest camp several times. The only issue I have found is the staff. I was waiting for more than one hour in the restaurant to have lunch (was not the rush hour, they simple forgot) to finally receive a Cesar salad… without chicken! They fixed it,... More

This is a great property to base yourself when in Nairobi. It is outside of the city centre in a quiet and safe area close to the elephant orphanage, giraffe centre, a good local shopping centre and Wilson Airport but not close to any public transport which means you are reliant on either the transfers the camp offers or ones... This place is beautiful! Many nice corners and areas to sit and have your own private spot - or chat with fellow travelers. The down side was for me definitely that the food and drinks are very expensive. A buffet diner for 1000 (!!) kes... That's just a cash cow. In town you can have amazing dishes for less than... Thank you for your review and for stating that you thought our camp and the grounds were beautiful. We are pleased to hear that you also enjoyed meeting fellow travellers. But it seems other than that, sadly we couldn't put a foot right! I would clarify that while you might feel that our $10 per person buffet is a cash... More

Serene spot in good location. Far enough from city centre and close to what we wanted to see. Food was amazing. Staff very good. Rooms comfortable. Tents well equipped. Bar well stocked. Wifi bit sketchy at times. Only complaint was the noisy crickets

Thank you for your comment and we are so pleased to hear that you loved all elements of our camp. We have worked hard over the years to try to create a place that will be a great 'Safari Start' for everyone. The noise that you would have heard is actually our resident frogs and toads - I'll have a... More

This camp is located down Mokoyeti Road West which is just opposite and just before the Kenol/AutoExpress on Langata Road.It is down a quiet road and to the left with a small sign. The tent reception also houses a shop with curios on sale and various other bits of information. The receptionist on duty was pleasant and welcoming and took me... More

Thank you for your comprehensive review and you really have painted a wonderful picture of what it is like to walk through the camp. We are glad that you enjoyed the facilities and the relaxing environment. I am sorry to hear that you were not offered to join the buffet dinner when you arrived, as this is the norm, so... More

We arrived here for our first night in Nairobi without a reservation. We were in the dorm but with no other guests. The beds are really comfortable and clean. We spent the afternoon relaxing in the pool, we had a good dinner and a peaceful sleep. We tried to go there for our last night also but it was fully... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us, and we are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed so many elements of your stay. I did smile reading your last comment, as this is so true. We have deliberately tried to stay 'off the beaten track' so that we can remain a unique and quiet place... More

We stayed here after our travels in Tanzania and were very surprised with the outcome of this place. Very clean tents and we were very excited to be glamping after most of our trip was spent camping. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, the only thing we couldn't do was shower in the morning because the water was too cold.... More

Thank you so much for your kind review and we are pleased that our camp offered some much needed luxury after your camping safari. We are sorry to hear that your shower was not warm enough in the morning, and we will follow up on this issue. But we are glad that this was outweighed by our good food, great... More

My first impression of this place is the beautiful gardens, pond, pool and the safari tents scattered around the grounds. The staff are super welcoming and the bathrooms clean and functional. It starts to go down hill once you start eating, had the chicken burger, as too late to order the buffet. The burger was nearly inedible, and I felt... More

We are happy to read that we made a great first impression, but obviously we would like to maintain that throughout your stay, and on this occasion we seem to have not done that. On any occasion if you dine with us and are not happy with the quality of the meal received, please report it to any staff and... More

Perfectly located for the top Nairobi tourist attractions (Giraffe centre, elephant orphanage, national park, kazuri beads), good food (breakfast is included in the price!), lovely swimming pool and grounds - doesn't feel like you're staying in a city at all. The only issues we had were that the dinner buffet didn't have many veggie options and the dorm tent got... More

I have stayed at the Wildebeest Eco Camp four times - twice in the new location - and it has served as an oasis of calm in the wonderful craziness that is Nairobi. The staff, food, and 'rooms' (safari tents) are all great. The landscaping results in a nature experience and some amazing bird watching! The location is less convenient... More
