Me and my girlfriend stayed at the old Gezira hotel for 150 LE a night. Own balcony, really fresh cleaned rooms, AC and fan were a bit noisy but nothing we couldn't sleep through. The owner was super friendly and really respectful and told us a lot about Luxor and a little friendly gossip about the people living in the... More

Very professional establishment. 24hr room service. The pool is a decent size to have a dip in after a day of sightseeing and have a cheeky pint in the shade. Had dinner one of the nights there, large portions, decent food and prices. Value for money hotel. The power went out a few times - but not for very long... More

I have been to Luxor 23 times over the last 16 years Two years ago I made my first visit to the Gezira Hotel which I did like but was informed that I should also visit the Gezira Gardens and take a look. It turns out that the hotels are owned by two brothers.......should not have same name as it... More

staying on the West Bank of Luxor was a great choice. Much less noise than on the West part. We stayed at Gezira Garden (the one with swimming) pool for 2 nights for a reasonable price (38 euros), including breakfast. Rooms are quite small and although relatively clean, are a bit simple.but you cannot expect more for this price in... More

The small El Gezira hotel must be the best budget stay in Luxor! Few rooms, relaxed, comfortable hotel with the most professional, friendly and efficient staff cannot be faulted. Nothing is too much hassle for them. The rooms are light, clean and very comfortable and have pleasant little extras like bedside lamps, balcony's with chairs and coat hangers in the... More

Behind the quite wall lined lane leading from the Nile lies a small, cosy hotel in a hidden garden. We stayed at the Gezira Garden hotel on Luxor's west bank for several weeks this autumn. Dont expect streamlined luxury, instead enjoy caring and personalized service in a secure atmosphere filled with the sense of intimacy. Comfortable rooms and suites at... More

There are TWO HOTELS WITH THE NAME GEZIRA on the West Bank of Luxor. Although the owners may be related, the GOOD ONE IS THE ONE WITH GARDENS IN THE NAME. It is NOT the one that is offered on Booking.com the review I can give is of the Gazira Gardens Hotel which has a pool. The bad reviews you... More

The Gezira Garden is a lovely boutique hotel on Luxor's West Bank. It feels like an oasis -- lots of greenery, incredibly friendly staff and loads of charm. The restaurant was great and I enjoyed the food. It was a short walk to the ferry over the Nile to the East Bank where we saw the Karnak Temple and more.... More

We spent 10 days here while in Luxor. The West Bank is so much quieter and relaxing. The staff makes you feel part of the family. Sharif at the desk always is quick to answer any emails. Abdul and Ashraf are good waiters and helpful with any local needs. Have the Egyptian breakfast, the cooks did it a little different... More
