The Venus Hotel in Luxor has a great location, situated only a couple of minutes from Luxor Temple and has very cheap rates. The hotel has rooms with air conditioning and also with fans, which we find healthier and better for the environment. We recommend you to visit Egypt now.

We have stayed here in the height of heat in July and I must state that the air-con really had a good output, we did not feel uncomfy, it was just perfect in the wee little room, clean toilet/bathroom. Friendly staff. There is a nice place to eat nearby in the souk named Omhashem (but please check prices before you... More

Yes, the walls could need some paint. BUT the rooms are clean, almost for free and the staff / vibe in the house makes up for that totally. They can arrange almost everything you need for your personal trips in and around Luxor. If you wish they will prepare dinner for you which you will have together with the employees... More

We stayed at the Venus hotel in Luxor in October 2012. We had a triple air-conditioned room with private bathroom, including breakfast, for 80EP (for the two of us, not each.) The hotel is situated in the centre of Luxor, in the next street to the local main souk. The hotel was being transferred to new ownership while we were... More

This place has full marks. Abdul the Manager and his staff were the most hospitable and kind people I 've experienced when staying anywhere. They went to great lengths alway going that extra mile to see that we were comfortable looked after and well fed at the Hotel. The Food was fantastic as much as it was generous. The various... More

The place is falling apart, the outside noise is constant, and you can find comfort elsewhere. So why the five stars? Simple: the people. The most inviting, engaging, helpful, interesting and fun group of staff you can imagine. Chat with any of them and you'll understand. As a lodging, you get what you pay for. As an experience, so long... More

The staff at the VENUS are GREAT. They showed me, told me and took terrific care of me. The room is basic but so is the price. I would love to go back.

Yes it's a bargain to stay here but impossible to get a decent night's sleep. The noise from the street outside is deafening, even when we managed to get a couple of hours kip early morning the hawkers setting up their stalls at 4.00 am woke us up again. Staff are very young, and service is O.K in terms of... More

We stayed here in January 2011, and it was 40 egyptian pounds per person per night. Decent rooms with average beds, clean sheets and uncomfortable pillows. To get hot water we had to ask reception and they turned on the pump for us. There was wifi but it only worked on the ground floor and the second floor. Breakfast was... More
