I have to admit we saw less of Luxor than we expected because I found it hard to drag my family out of this lovely hotel ! The hotel is beautifully decorated. The rooms are huge and each one different. The grounds benefit from large, mature bushes and flowers. The pool area is large, peaceful and a great place to... More

Egypt is safe! Visit this amazing country now and avoid the crowds. Al Moudira is a wonderful, peaceful hotel that is very accessible to all the sites of Luxor. Zeina and her team were extremely helpful and arranged a car for the day (taxis and cars are very cheap). All of the room are clean, spacious and quiet and the... More

We booked four nights here during our four day visit to Luxor. The hotel is charming and the owner Zeina very interesting and friendly. The hotel is on the West bank and far away from the hustle and bustle of Luxor city on the East bank. The advantages are quiet, charm, beautiful gardens and architecture and proximity to all the... Eight of us were traveling together and I booked four rooms at Al Moudira for us. Our tour guide dropped us there and made a number of comments about how far it was from the nightlife of Luxor. That was exactly what we were looking for. This is truly an oasis in the middle of the Egyptian desert. We had... More

This place is AMAZING. It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. It's about 30 minutes from central Luxor by taxi, on the west bank of the Nile, far enough from the city that you can't hear any cars or noise at all. Only the rustling of trees and birds outside our window. The rooms are huge and... More

We booked Junior Suite 54, which was close to the reception and restaurant. The hotel is a little far from downtown Luxor, but can be reached through the new bridge in about 20 minutes. Once you cross the Nile to the west bank you leave the main road, and drive on narrow secondary and, sometimes, dusty roads, through sugar cane... More

we just finished a 3 night stat at the Al Moudira. The hotel is beautiful, unique and relaxing. the food is also excellent. We went with a one year old and knew the hotel did not bill itself as 'family friendly' and on the first day there were some stressful moments trying to get an early breakfast for our hungry... I visited in early November, and on my last night found myself as the only guest. This hotel is an amazing place - I would have sworn it was older (only because of the décor - which I loved) than it is. The service was extremely helpful, the food was lovely. I slept well, my room 50 had an enormous... More

Absolutely loved this hotel - really peaceful and nurturing. The room was enormous and with an individuality and quirkiness that raises the hotel above the usual mass produced places. It is close to the Valley of the Kings and a short taxi ride to the ferry boat over to the East Side. Some people might not like its distance, but... More

On the right bank and slightly out of town, a few km's from Valley of The Kings - we LOVED it. Taxi fares are cheap and they have drivers available with set rates (no rip off) - so we decided not to stay in town where there are rows and rows of 'american/western' style chain hotels along the Nile and...
