Luxury in Luxor, not the kind of luxury from big hotel chains, the luxury of time spent in the silence of the desert, the luxury spent between orange flowers, palm trees and bougainvillea, the luxury of seeing beauty, art and love in every detail every time your eyes lay, the luxury of having every room resemble a palace or a... “.. once upon a time there was a place; a place between the green fields, the palm trees of the Nile river and where the endless sand dunes begin; where the mountains seems blue and pink in the evening sun. During the summer nights the desert breeze that moved the palm leafs would still not cool. In winter one would... More

Amazing hotel with stunning décor and fantastic bedrooms. Rooms are arranged around courtyards a la Alhambra in Granada. It is in a quiet location on the West Bank so, unless you take a taxi, you'll have to eat at the hotel(no hardship).

Despite the travel warnings, I really wanted to go to Luxor for my 40th birthday. Al Moudira was perfect for the trip. It was quiet because there are few tourists right now (unfortunately for the hotel and its employees) so we had the run of the place to ourselves. The rooms are so beautiful, the hammam a real treat, and... More

Maybe it's because many reviewers like to be in Luxor town, on the East Bank. Al Moudira is about 30 minutes drive away on the West Bank. Once you walk through the doors, however, you'll realize that the place is magical. Our room was incredible. Don't think we've ever slept under a painted, domed ceiling before, with light filtering in... More

What a gorgeous looking hotel. In the country side and a bit further out from the action of Luxor. When I stayed in February 13 there were only a couple of other guests. So quiet and so pretty but something I could only handle for a couple of nights. Pity it is so far out as the staff are very... More

Al Moudira is an incredible hotel with great food. The swimming pool is beautiful and the staff help out with everything. If you will be traveling to Luxor do yourself a favor and stay at Al Moudira. The front desk can get you a taxi guy who will pick you up each morning and stay with you while you go... More

Hidden away in it's own quiet oasis on the west bank of the river Nile opposite Luxor, this hotel was a perfect retreat to escape the hustle and hassle of people in general. The staff were all locals except the GM, who was a German lady. All were very friendly and helpful and we could not really fault the service.... More

Real escape from the crows of tourists, and hussles of locals. Once-in-a-lifetime-experience that you should allow yourself. Next to the great silence of the desert, this unique hotel offers experience like living in the old tale "thousand and one night". Each room is unique and has own private open air terrace, in which you can enjoy night stars more brighter... More

We have just come back from a wonderful stay at the Al Moudira Hotel in Luxor. Whilst we enjoyed the bustle of Luxor, it was also a joy to return to this oasis of tranquility. The hotel is exquisitely designed in traditional style with beautiful shady courtyards, charming vistas and great attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and elegant.... More
