During parts of our two week stay here the other half and me were the only guests! Most disconcerting although the number swelled to no more than 10 as time went on. The staff have to be commended for their tireless effort and friendliness in what are difficult times for Egypt and the lack of tourists. They were all charming,... More

Massive Hotel with some 500 rooms but virtually empty due to very few tourists. Well situated on the banks of the Nile with good swimming pool Service excellent as was the price for drinks. A requested mid day snack was served quickly and efficiently and we just felt sorry for the staff who were so underemployed. It is so sad... More

Dated and run down hotel which requires touch ups. The gym room was not functional. The hotel is located along the Nile River which makes a good environment but other than that, there is not much to recommend. Free Wi-Fi available in the lobby only. There is much better hotel with the same price range in Luxor.

We stayed at the Pyramisa isis Hotel, Luxor 17 - 31/12/2014 (booked through Love Holidays also highly recommended) on an All Inclusive Basis. We did not realise until we reached the hotel how very few tourists are going to Luxor. The Hotel during the whole of our stay had a best 50 guests the majority of which were Egyptians, on... More

In 20 years of visiting Luxor this is one of the few hotels I have not stayed in but I visit it regularly. It is a lovely hotel and worth it's rating! It is a little dated in it's looks but that is perfect for Luxor and I would have it no other way. By dated I mean it has... More

Nice hotel, very helpful staff and decent food. The room was comfortable and there was hot water - and a shower. Beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for them. Nicely situated if you are going on to Abu Simbel

Excellent hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Situated within walking distance of several good restaurants and shops. For those that like a longer walk the ferry to the West Bank is about 20 minutes from the hotel, as is Luxor Temple. With temperatures getting more manageable for the European tourist this is a perfect time to visit.

It is definitely not the best of times to rate a hotel in Luxor. The incredible summer heat (occasionally something above 50 degrees in the sun and 40+ in the shade), the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan and a general feeling of insecurity in the country due to the ongoing political turmoils don't really make up for an ideal tourism...
