I was booked into this hotel by some co-workers as we were on a field visit. Once arrived, I wanted to use the bathroom in the reception, I was given keys to open a bathroom which was already dark and dirty. I checked in and the room was ok. The rooms were my other three colleagues stayed were dirty especially... More

The hotel is in front of Luxor temple and close to the market. The view from the rooms are great for luxor temple. The breakfast is good. One of the best things are the friendly staff there. Only the housekeepers just make loud voice while they are cleaning the other rooms. The swimming pool is small but not bad. I... More

Average hotel, excellent location. Staff were fantastic, friendly and very attentive. Cleanliness was ok, I guess just more of a tired and old building. I went here in 1996, so it's been around a long time! If you want to experience the hustle and bustle of Luxor then a great location! For us, it was simple a bed we wanted... More

It is near night market and lot of horse drawn carriages. The vehicle is cheap, around 5-10 LE going around town for 4-6 person. But the a/c and tv were old and noisy. However the pool and the view compensate the negative sides of the hotel.

Although not luxurious, the hotel is clean, can rely on good service and and a nice restaurant and, most of all, has a great location. Nothing beats the incredible view over Luxor Temple, the sphinx alley and the Hatshepsut's Temple across the Nile. You can enjoy it from the upper terrace, sipping a drink next to the swimming pool at... More

Don't expect luxury. This hotel has a super location as you have a great view over Luxor Temple, the sphinx alley and even Hatshepsut's Temple across the Nile. The upper terrace is great. Of course, being on the crossroad of the main streets, it is also noisy. Staff was friendly and helped us find mattresses that were a little more... More

Have stayed in Emilio at least 5 times now as it is right in the heart of the locals and has a great atmosphere. Always have a room on 6th floor as the views are spectacular, Luxor Temple, The Nile and if you lean slightly you can also see hatshepsut's Temple. Staff are very friendly and can't do enough to... We stopped over last year Staff friendly and food not too bad it could have been a lot worse. The club sandwiches where very good. The views from the top of the hotel fantastic. Beautiful views of Luxor Temples. It was very sad to see so few tourists there at the he times of our visit. Luxor Temple was empty.... More

First I have to say I'm very surprised at some of the negative reviews on here, they certainly don't reflect what I saw or experienced on our visit in October 2012. We found the Emilio to be very friendly, the rooms were perhaps a little spartan, but still had a fridge, TV and air conditioning all of which functioned well... More

I thought that the Emilio was a bit over priced but wanted to try it anyway. The rooms were good except for one big problem, my balcony door did not lock and a person could very easily access one balcony from all of the others as they are connecting. The safe box didn't work and the shower was in need... More
