Was a little uncomfortable with the neighborhood the hotel was in at first, but the hotel and the wonderful people there quickly belied those fears. Very charming building and courtyard restaurant. Family owned and operated by 3rd generation and made us feel especially welcome. Father took us for a walk in the neighborhood introducing us to neighbors and his family.... More

From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't be more welcoming. The room was excellent, especially considering the price. We had a delicious traditional dinner in the middle of the hotel's wonderful garden. We will definitely stay here when coming to Luxor.

After reading such great reviews on Amon hotel I decided to stay for my visit to Luxor, and what a great decision that was! As a single female traveller I felt very well looked after by Ahmed the owner, and his son, Mohamed. By the end of the stay I felt part of the Amon family. This was one of... More

Amon offers everything you need for a stress free, peaceful stay. Ahmed and his son Mohammed take pride in the hotel which they have run for 25 years. We booked our excursion through the hotel after comparing there rates and learning that they were very competitive. One of the highlights for us was our guide Mohammed. Ask for him as... More

Lovely homey hotel on the west bank of the Nile, about five minutes' walk from the waterfront where you can get a local ferry to the east side. Our room was comfortable and faced the amazing garden which really makes the place special. The birds woke me up very early so perhaps something to be aware of if you're a... More

I recently spent a few days at the Amon Hotel as a single traveller. Arriving there at night was a bit of a shock as the area is very rural and in parts run down. However, once inside the hotel, it was a completely different atmosphere. When I woke up the next morning and looked around from the top terrace... More

This hotel is incredible. You stay in a non-commercial part of town and are treated like family by staff who learn your name and put your comfort as a top priority. The food is better than top restaurant, Sofra. It has a small town and natural feel without compromising your comfort and relaxation. The owner and his son would visit... More

I recently stayed at the Amon Hotel twice, once on my own and the second time with my family. The hotel is one of the several small hotels located on the west bank of Luxor, which is much quieter and more reasonably priced than the east bank. I've stayed at a couple different hotels in this area over the years,... More

This was not our first time in Luxor but thanks to the wonderful people at Amon it was our best. Ever helpful staff, spotless rooms and really nice food made for a perfect base to explore the wonders of this place. The owner is a wealth of knowledge as well as being extremely kind and welcoming. Also the beautiful garden... More
