near perfect stay. Extremely quiet, grounds were perfect and the staff extremely nice. Other than the tea and coffee not being stocked in the room, we had no complaints. This very small negative was more than compensated by the helpfulness of the staff, the sunsets and the relaxing location.

Had a wonderful stay here after a nile cruise. People treat you like royalty. Food and grounds excellent. Upgraded to a junior suite which was lovely. Some issues with air conditioning but that was only fault. Perfectly safe to come very quiet due to lack of tourism which is a shame as it is such a nice place. Cleanliness was... More

Not a lot to add to my previous reviews of this excellent hotel. Of course, due to Egypt's problems in the last couple of years, occupancy is well down sadly. Despite that the staff were more than helpful and pleasant. I met some very pleasant people there which also enhanced my holiday experience. My room as always was kept very... More

The views are amazing. Sitting looking at the West Bank watching the boats. Yes there are low numbers but hey this turned the huge swimming pool into our own private pool. Taxi drivers are great. Staff are fantastic and always with a smile. Had a lovely time here and would return. Cleaning was up to standard and as with most... More

Just returned from a wonderful holiday at this lovely hotel. Friendly and so helpful staff. Great food and brilliant facilities. Sadly Egypt is very quiet but there is good security all around so nothing to fear. Staff and tour guides are genuinely pleased to see everyone.

We stayed her in July this year 6 years after first visiting. The hotel previously was a vibrant hotel with many restaurants , fun activities for the kids and generally a great hotel. Sadly with the economic and political changes in Egypt this once vibrant place was sadly the opposite. On arriving we found our we were 3 of only... More

We have just returned from a week at the Karnak Resort in Luxor and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful base from which to explore the awesome history of Luxor. There have been problems in Egypt in the past few years and this meant that the area was very quiet, with the hotel at only around 20%... More

Only stayed two nights but very pleasant. Rooms could do with an update but then with not many tourists in the last 4 years, understandable. Staff were lovely and the restaurant and food were very good and reasonably priced. What really made this hotel was the grounds and the location. Gardens were gorgeous and beautifully kept and a lovely quiet... More

We stayed for 5 nights in August 2014, and it was very average. The whole place looks like it is gathering dust, and most areas were out of use due to lack of business. The cleaning was not very good - the floor and all the surfaces in our room were dusty, and you couldn't walk from the bathroom to... More
