Only stayed two nights but very pleasant. Rooms could do with an update but then with not many tourists in the last 4 years, understandable. Staff were lovely and the restaurant and food were very good and reasonably priced. What really made this hotel was the grounds and the location. Gardens were gorgeous and beautifully kept and a lovely quiet... More

We stayed for 5 nights in August 2014, and it was very average. The whole place looks like it is gathering dust, and most areas were out of use due to lack of business. The cleaning was not very good - the floor and all the surfaces in our room were dusty, and you couldn't walk from the bathroom to... More

Starting with the positives: Beautiful pool and grounds. Now the negatives: Rooms quite unkempt, bed rather uncomfortable, bathrooms very outdated (in my first room, now running water so had to request a change). In desperate need of a face-lift.

We went for a 4 day break our room was small and cleaning service was average to non existence, wifi in reception was slow, I guess only ten rooms let which explains lower standards ... Not sure who owns hotel now but when star ratings are done will not be 5 stars 4 if they are lucky.... The pool was... More

The hotel was amazing, the setting is beautiful by the Nile you can watch the Sunset over the Nile in the sunset bar and see the Nile from the pool. The food was reasonable good choice, can have A La Carte when they have more capacity, it was closed due to lack of tourism. Swimming pool is big and the... More

Having just returned to England after my twelfth stay at Karnak Resort I don't have much more to add - (please read my previous reviews of this wonderful hotel). As always I had a fantastic welcome from everyone. Even though, like all other hotels in Luxor, there are very few tourists I had the best of attention and nothing was... More

Our low room rates mandated up-charges on everything though. Still, in the end it is a great value by local comparison. The Hotel is situated on the East Bank of the Nile about 10 to 15-minutes by taxi from Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple and the Luxor Museum. West Bank is closer to Valley of the Kings and Queens but still... More

We wished we had stayed here longer than we did. It was so lovely Rooms had basic amenities ( blow dryer/coffee/tea) AC Right along the nile river Food was great (breakfast) still would recommend travelers to eat off the resort. Spread out your business.

Egypt is empty of tourists. Locals need your money so go, in safety and spend. There are no queues for any temples/attractions. Clear views of anything you want. If you were to go to Egypt for social reasons, however, a negative. Staying recently here, there were 10 guests. I imagine the hotel is built for 300+ guests so one does... More
