Just returned from 4 nights at the Pavillion Winter. Overall I was very impressed with the hotel. It is very majestic, and in its hey day must have been a sight to behold. Saying that, the hotel is on the old side and needs to be refurbished. The carpets etc are all different colours (thats how old they are). Location... more

This was the 4th time we stayed in Luxor and all 4 times we've stayed in the Winter Palace. 3 times in the Pavillion and 1 time we got a free upgrade to the old Winter. We like the Pavillion a lot; the rooms are nice and spacious and so is the bathroom. The location is the best; just next... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in may, and fell in love with it straightaway. We didnt pay much at all for the room. The pavilion is new, clean and quiet, and set in the beautiful gardens of the old winter palace. The pool is lovely, as is the food and the staff are extremely attentive and polite. I wouldn't... more

The Pavilion is a separate and detached wing of the Old Winter Palace and is graded as 4 star compared to the 5 star rating of the OWP. It has its own check-in area and breakfast room, although enjoys the same outdoor facilities as the OWP. Check-in This was via the Old Winter Palace then out through the garden to... more

I have stayed in a large number of hotels both for leisure and business over the years and this hotel holds the distinction of being one I fell in love with immediately and it didn't disappoint. Access to the Pavillion is currently through the reception of the Old Winter Palace and the minute you step out the back door and... more

I recently stayed for a week in the WP-Pavillon in the heart of Luxor. I was visiting with family, including a nine-year old. Check in was swift and effective and we our luggage arrived in our rooms less than 10 minutes after check in. We paid the luggage-man 2-3 pounds and there was no whining about wanting more or anything... more

The Winter Palace is in a great location on the banks of the Nile by Luxor temple. There are numerous reasonably priced restaurants across the road on the Nile bank within 2-3 minute walking distance and the temple of Luxor is only a minutes walk away. I had a couple of very pleasant meals in El Kebabgy, opposite the Winter... more

stayed for one night in december . The hotel has a quality feel right from the grand front entrance through the old winter palace , to the clean spacious rooms with balconies overlooking the fragrant gardens. Couldnt believe the cheap price i paid for them! Didnt get to use the pool but it looked lovely. Had breakfast buffet and sat... more

we had stayed at the new winter palace previously and enjoyed that but now preferred a quieter location ,the hotel staff may come across as a little reserved but they really are very helpful and especially in the restaurant ,we were there for a week and we could not fault anything to do with the food and the chefs were... more
