Anntonette and familly offer an affordable ,comfortable , clean and relaxing sanctury much needed after the hustle and bustle of luxor . Located on the west bank your ideally placed for visiting the valley of the kings , and other tombs and temples. The nile and luxor are only a 5 minute taxi ride away . Initially it seems [after... Antoinette and Tony have built a fantastic place for sightseeing and relaxing. Built on the west side of the river, it is an ideal place to take in sightseeing in the Theban necropolis before retiring in the garden for some refreshing mint tea. Antoinette and Tony are very knowledgeable in ancient Egyptian so have a few conversations with them! Rooms... More

It was a pleasure staying at Flower of Light during our 4 days/5 nights in Luxor. It's a wonderful family-run hotel that has gorgeous dome rooms with huge bathrooms, a lovely pool surrounding by a beautiful garden and a fantastic cook. This was our first time in Luxor, so we did a lot of exhausting sightseeing. Coming back to Flower... More

In the midst of the chaotic and intense experiences an independent traveler can have while exploring Egypt, Flower of Light is an oasis of peace and tranquility. Located on the quiet west bank, at the edge of the desert, close to the valley of the kings and all other sights, this place makes you feel miles- and centuries away from... More

What an incredeble place to stay. It is so great to relax in the beautiful garden after a day in at the temples. You can feel the love and hard work that they put in he place and that makes the place so wonderful. It is not a hotel, but it is a home away from home. Antoinette tells you... More

This is the most peaceful place you can find to stay in Luxor. It has been created with love and a lot of hard work by Antoinette Glynn and her husband Dony, a real oasis of peace and tranquillity on the edge of the desert. Here you will receive personal attention that is not possible in the large hotels, beautiful... More

I have been to the beautiful Egypt 3 times. On my first visit i stayed in the St. Joseph hotel on the east bank of the Nile but it had not got a patch on Antoinette's amazing Flower of light centre. Gorgeous weather accompanied by relaxing and peaceful accommodation is the perfect combination in having the greatest trip to Egypt.... More

I arrived to palm trees, sandy mountains and a warm breeze. We were met at the airport by one of Antoinette's colleagues, a local Egyptian. He was friendly and brought us to our accommodation. When walking through the centre you cant help but notice the tall trees and the aroma of the beautiful flowers. There are lots of things I... More

At our arrival at the Flower of Light Centre, Antoinette said to us: ‘this is not a hotel’, and indeed it isn’t, but it is soooo much more than that. First of all the location is just an island of rest within the chaos Luxor is. And belief me, Luxor can be quite a ‘distortion’ – ask e.g. any woman... More
