Wonderful views over the Nile and the desert in the distance from our balcony , our room is large and clean and it has a beautiful pool and terrace, again overlooking the Nile. The hotel is a little bit out of town but its nice and quiet , and they run shuttle bus service to and from the centre ..... more

We were booked at this hotel for 4 nights but only stayed for one. We moved to the Isis Hotel in central Aswan at 8am the second morning. This hotel is miles out of Cairo, it was dirty and the food was attrocious. Breakfast was prepared days in advance and served on a plate covered in plastic, the fruit salad... more

Booked our stay for large family room in advance (got better than rack rate!). Nice spotless bathroom. Staff friendly, breakfast ok. Lovely position with great views (out of town) and loved the pool (which was also spotless). Unlike other reviewers, no problems whatsoever with cleanliness or unfriendly manager! more

The hotel itself is beautiful, but the manager was pushy and tried to cheat us. Left a sour taste after a lovely stay. more

We stayed in this hotel twice as part of a gecko´s organised tour, and it wasn´t nice. On first view, it seems like a lovely hotel in a quaint setting. Then things start going wrong. From the chain smokers in the breakfast room, the showers without any heat or pressure, dirty towels and then the owner...having asked the receptionist and... more

We were on tour with Peregrine and we had a terrible cruise boat (avoid the "Nile Treasure") so Peregrine got us out of the cruise ship and into this hotel. When we first got the hotel, all of us on the your were happy - we were off the cruise and going to someplace clean - with hot showers and... more

The Sara Hotel has a few things going for it that it does very well, but the stay here was problematic for our small group. We were unlucky in that it was the only hotel left in Aswan that could fit us on the last minute, as our Nile Cruise was stranded at the Esna Lock running on only one... more
