We where visiting one night when the hotel was very new in november 2012. It was just wonderful, we arrived in the middle of the day by train from Luxor with a good Egyptian friend. After visiting the Highdam we arrived in this beautiful small little hotel. I felt like i came in to my childhood farytails. In the night... More

We had dinner on the roof here one evening - it was delicious ! You have to call a few hours in advance in order to give them some time to prepare the food. The prepared a am assortment of Nubian dishes, everything was super fresh and very tasty. We tried to come again but they were booked out.

Well, Ounaty Ka is not for everybody. If you are used to 5 stars hotel with all comforts and amenities, your expectations will have to be revised. But if you are in search of an unforgettable experience, were tranquility matters more than a gym or a pool, were you don't care about ordering through a menu and are flexible about... More

Ounaty Ka is a small, Nubian-style hotel on the bank of the Nile, just about 10 minutes from the busyness of Aswan. The rooms are small, but don't worry about that because you will spend most of your time on the beautiful terrace overlooking the Nile. Ounaty Ka is the perfect place to slow down if you've been running from... More

I wasn't expecting much from Nuba, but when I went their with 7 other of my friends, we were totally blown away with the view, the setting of the hotel, the cleanness of the rooms, the hospitality of the people and not mention the exquisite Egyptian food. Best Part there is that the hosts are so helpful with any arrangements... More

During our 9 day holiday on the Nile, this was the real gem. Location, food, style, peace, you name it. All far nicer than our 5 star hotels in Luxor at a quarter of the price. Rooms were simple and clean, food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the views just out of this world. Close by, the Nubian village... More

Ounaty Ka - house of the moons. I was lucky enough to have spent two full moon nights here at this amazing guest house with my friend. I could have stayed a week, or a month, or a year. The location, jutting out over the Nile, with nothing but the river and sandhills in front of you was nothing short... More
