At first this hotel is not much to look at, but the dining area and lounging area well makes up for it. Both areas are open air, so you can look out across the village and have a great view of the dam. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. There is wifi at this hotel. The staff was accommodating and... More

I booked 3 nights for myself and 10 friends (including a child) as we planned to spend our new year's eve there. I called Khaled over the phone and made the booking. Called again the next day and confirmed it. Over the next 2 weeks I called the hotel 4 more times as I needed an extra bed for another... More

Just came from Ekodolli, spent 3 nights there. It is off of the beaten path which we liked, but not for everyone. We were at first assigned to one of the rooftop rooms and asked to change which they did without a hassle. We felt the food was very generous and delicious for the price. It is Egyptian food, but... In my travels around the world I have stayed at many "guesthouses" and this concrete block hotel in the middle of nowhere does not fit the description of a "guesthouse". There was no hospitality unless I had my wallet open. The room was tiny with no amenities at all. The hotel has no wifi. It is not in Aswan and... More

i stayed for one night in march 2014 in an ac room with privat bathroom. the room was spaciouse, bright, very clean, with a balcony. there is no wifi and no tv available but a rooftop terrasse with a stunning view over the nile and the sleepy village. the hotel lies on the west side of the nile in a... I can't recommend Ekadoli Nubian Guesthouse enough. Not only is it it immaculately clean, but the hospitality is unlike any other I've experienced, even for Egypt. Also, one of the biggest challenges of my trip to Egypt was factoring in the costs for excursions. At Ekadoli, the owner Khaled and his nephews take care of everything for very reasonable prices... The owner and staff are very hospitable but this place is way off the beaten track. The rooms are clean but very basic, small, no TV, no fridge and the water heater in the bathroom gives you three minutes of hot water if you are lucky. The rooms, at least mine, lack window screens. I tried sleeping under my blanket... More

Means I love you....has special meaning for me. This hotel/guest house is located on a hill inside a Nubian village. Very quiet, not a place to stay if you are looking to see anything or go anywhere, simply a place to relax. Owner very nice, rooms fine, breakfast good, view good. Was nice to walk through the village and chat... More

The hotel was fine. The bed were ok and I would have slept well if it had not been for the mosquitoes. When I complained I was given a plug-in device that did nothing to combat the nightly horde. I ended up buying a mosquito net in Aswan. I don't understand why the owner does not simply put screens on... More

Absolutely calm place, excellent food and totally welcoming. Very clean and perfectly located for visiting Aswan, Abu Simbel and all interesting places around. The view over the Nile from the terrace is amazing, specially during the sunset. Definitely a charming place, very affordable and with an excellent service. Thanks to Mr. Khaled and the entire staff for this unforgettable stay!
