Reasonably clean hotel. En-suite room included shower with curtain so shared toilet. Tiny hand towels provided. Lighting in room was poor. Mosquito net above bed was too small to use; a plug-in repellent was provided. Wi-Fi on terrace only (unreliable). Breakfast was satisfactory. Location of hotel on West Bank made it difficult to carry bags to & from the ferry... More

Aswan is the base of the historic Kush people who can boast a successful and pretty hot Pharaoh ( Nubian Museum is a must see). The owner of this charming guest house does their tradition proud and you are the beneficiary,my friend. Charming, organized and a first rate "macher", just share your dreams and wishes with Abdul and it all... More

To be clear, this is a guesthouse rather than a hotel... they are not Western-style service oriented. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and there is an amazing roof-top terrace for eating, meeting other guests and views of the city. The staff is very friendly and extremely low-key: sometimes there was no one around at all to answer questions or... More

This BnB was a welcome and lovely retreat away from the noise and dust of Cairo. My cousin and I were picked up by the hotel from the airport. These people were so warm and friendly and took great care of us during our too short stay. I loved the lemongrass tea and karkadee (called sorrel in my country). As... More

My husband and I stayed here for a week and we enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. There are so many things to do in Aswan and all of the excursions that we booked through the guesthouse was booked and arranged smoothly. The food was very delicious----i highly recommend that you eat... More

I've stayed at this amazing guest house twice. Once in the melting heat of the summer, and again in late spring. Both stays were fabulous and keep me wanting to come back. It's not a 5-star resort, and its not really a hotel. Its more of a bed and breakfast. Which, the breakfast is great- traditional Nubian food and bread,... More

I stayed at Bet El Kerem for 2 nights this past month and I greatly enjoyed my stay. You can't beat the room for the price, and everyone I met went out of their way to be kind and accomodating. I booked a trip to Abu Simbal and a felucca to Kon Ombo through the hotel, and both trips were... More

As the title suggests, I had mixed feelings about this hotel. It was difficult to choose a rating, but I decided to go with a "4" since I believe the owner and staff are doing their best to provide a quality experience to their guests. However, I will go ahead and write a detailed and candid review so that people... More

I stayed here for several nights during my stay in Aswan and was impressed. The roof offers a great view of Aswan and is the location is very quiet. The staff are very accommodating and you can organize your day trips through them if you like. The facilities are also very clean and amenities are available to guests.

My wife and I stayed at Bet el Kerem on our way from Cairo into Sudan and had a peaceful, quiet one night stay. The views from the deck are lovely and the chefs spoilt us with good food during our brief stay. Folks were very friendly and helpful at the Bet el Kerem including Musa the driver who collected...
