Entrance a bit hidden but once you know where its okay. Rooms not too bad for the price, if you need a good clean place just for sleepand shower then its ample, breakfast minimal, boiled egg and bread roll with butter and jam.

Me and my friends stayed 2 nights at the memnon hotel as part of a 4 week trip to Egypt in January. On first approaching the entrance I was a little concerned as it appears very run down. That being said we had a nice stay. Staff were friendly, rooms were okay and the lobby has a nice place to... More

Look, this place is okay, it's somewhere to sleep, and it's cheap enough I guess. There are better options in Aswan but then again these better options probably cost about 4 times more. Staff were friendly and when we were trying to talk to a women who obviously didn't speak much English she told us to wait while she got... More

the hotel urgently needs a complete renovation and a bath. Although the staff didn't dominate english language, they were very friendly and helpful, and organized our trip to Abu Simbel, for a very cheap price.

They kindly sent a the taxi for us at the airport since the taxis waiting over there didn't accepted to drive for the normal price of 55pounds. Those idiots drove empty back to Aswan since we were the last fly. The very simple brekfast reflects the poor room's condition . We had a room with great view on the Nile.... More

We stayed at Mamnon otel Dec. 26-28, 2012. As others had said it is a little bit hard to find this hotel as the signs are not good but we were on the lookout and so had no trouble locating it. The lift is scary as it does not seem to be very stable but it works. It is an... More

Well... I stayed here with my girl just for one night to be able to go to Abu Simbel. The rooms are dirty (we hitted the bed and there was a could of dust on the room...), the curtains were teared apart, the elevator doesn't work (watch out, the hotel is on the 6th floor!) and so on, and on,... My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. I was not sure what to expect when we came to the hotel, but the room ended up being surprisingly nice. The only big problem with the room came on our first night while we were both reading in bed and a lizard started running on our walls, needless... More

Typical Egyptian hotel. Nice management but the hotel let's them down. The lift didn't work - reception is 3 floors up and our room was effextively on the 6th floor. The swimming pool was empty (and looked disgusting). The bathroom door would close!

I was a solo woman traveler and got royally sick of one leering desk clerk, and he kind of soured me on the rest of the experience. Most of the staff had little or no English so I was steered wrong about the ability to get to Abu Simbel. I never got there. At the back overlooking a very noisy... More
