We stayed here for four days at the start of our holiday before moving on to Sharm El Sheikh. We arrived in the middle of the night, which was no problem, but we had to wait while a third bed was brought to our room and made up for our son, despite the booking stating three persons! However the same... more

We went to Cairo after spending 7 days on Magic 1 cruise ship. We stayed at the Movenpick for 3 nights. First impressions were that the bungalow style hotel was very nice. The room was very big and bright. Had a shower and found that the door leaked from a few places making the floor very wet and slippery. The... more

We stayed here as part of a Nile cruise/Cairo/Luxor combo with Archers direct. The hotel looks dreadful from the outside and you might wonder what you've let yourself in for but it's not so bad. The reception area and restaurants are lovely and the staff are very attentive. The rooms are bungalow/chalet style and nice enough, definitely 3*. They are... more

Considering the location of the hotel, right by a very busy road, it was a peaceful place to stay and unwind after a stressful time spent in the mayhem that is Cairo! We stayed there for 3 nights at the begining of our trip to Egypt. Our room was not large but everything was very clean and comfortable. The staff... more

Stayed a total of 4 nights - 3 at the beginning of a 9 day Egypt tour and one night at the end. The rooms are very tired and in need of a makeover. Plumbing was leaky - but at least it worked. The beds are extremely hard - felt like we were sleeping on a granite sarcophagus. The buffet... more

We stayed at the Movenpick Pyramids Giza for 4 nights in April 2008. We really loved it there: the rooms are set in the gardens in “bungalow style”, and were clean, as was the the bathroom. Each bungalow has a terrace with chairs and a table, where you can sit, as we frequently did, relaxing after enjoying a tour. The... more

We had 5 nights here with Kuoni and cannot fault it. Room large, clean, and away from very busy road outside. Breakfast was to die for - right down to the made-on-demand pancakes! Half board suited us and dinner was above average - plenty choice and delicious desserts. We opted to use hotel taxi for trips - worked out cheaper... more

Movenpick Cairo was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. I must admit that only stupid little things bothered me, but overall it was a good experience. The pool as pictured on all the websites is not nearly as big as it looks. Also a lot of the websites says that they have complimentary airport transfers 24hrs a day....well... more

We stayed at this hotel for a week in March. It was close to the Pyramids and only about 20minutes from Saqarra. The Egyptian Museum was about 40minutes away by taxi. Our room was not very clean and the chairs were unacceptably stained. On the plus side the shower was always hot and powerful. Also the air conditioning could be... more
