I read the other reviews prior to going and was a bit worried. Within about 2 minutes of hitting the hotel I knew there weren't going to be any issues! The staff were excellent. A fantastic location for viewing the pyramids and close enough to the hustle and bustle of the city for the museums and other sights. Maybe a... more

Arriving early on September 15th, our first impressions were not good - if not alarming. The area is not great (or so it seemed) and we were glad to get through the airport style security. Once inside however it is a different story. Very grand - if not a little 80s dated by British standards. However, the 'villa' type rooms... more

We stayed at the Movenpick for 3 nights. We have two children aged 13 and 10. All staff were friendly and welcoming. We had bed and breakfast and there was plenty to choose from, and of good quality. We ate in the main restaurant, the roof top bar and the pizzeria. All had a good choice of food and were... more

The hotel is close to the Pyramids esplanade, off of the mess of Cairo, but the neighbors are not a place where to walk around in safety. The hotel is arranged like a beach resort, with a main building with core services and facilities and the rooms are all at ground level spread in different blocks around a swimming pool.... more

We were taking a sightseeing break in Cairo following a Nile Cruise. We stayed three nights at the hotel. It's location is excellent - you can see the Pyramids from the Roof Cafe. Accommodation is in bungalows that are very well equipped and maintained in excellent order. Facilities like the pool are excellent - we were slightly out of season... more

Stayed at the Movenpick for 3 nights, arriving Easter Sunday. Horrible hotel from the outside, dirty and ugly, However step through the door and you are in a different world, beautiful foyer leading to restaurants etc. Rooms are all in the garden. Ours looked new, and was very clean. A fantastic power shower, in a beautiful bathroom. We booked half... more

This hotel is all but outstanding. The breakfast is OK, but the dinner buffet could show more variation. The TV in the room is practically impossible to use because the server is constantly "too busy". The internet connection in the room is slow. The hotel is situated along a busy road. In other words, this hotel does not deserve "five... more

This hotel was very good value for money. The rooms and all areas were very clean and all the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The pool was wonderful, water quite warm and always very quiet, it was not unusual to find yourself swimming in the pool totally alone. The poolside bar served delicious food and it was very reasonable, although... more

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our holiday. We had stayed in central Cairo on a previous visit and did not need to visit the city centre again but wanted to revisit pyramids, therefore chose to stay at Giza. We were very pleased with our choice of the Moevenpick. Our room was comfortable with an excellent... more

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a tour, sharing with my 2 friends. The room was newly decorated and clean, but it was a bit of a squash with the extra bed. Luckily there was adequate wardrobe space for 3 women, and the bathroom was excellent- the over-bath shower was very powerful. All in all comfortable but not luxurious... more
