We have just returned from a two week holiday in Egypt, our three days at the Movenpick marked the end of our holiday. To be honest I was quite relived to return home as having spent 12 exciting and carefree days both in Luxor and on a Nile cruise, our time in Cairo was comparatively stressful.  When we booked our... As several times before, whether on road to Cairo or Alexandria or as this time to visit again the great pyramids we chose again this peaceful and quiet but nice hotel for a short stay and did not regret it. Staff as friendly and helpful as always, Pool as refreshing as it was and even perfect with our small daughter... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Nile cruise booked through Kuoni, what they dont tell you is that it is on a very busy, noisey & dusty road. As other people pointed out the view of the pyramids is from a small roof top bar a 100mtrs down the road in a separate building. The rooms are... More

Just come back from a 10 day trip to Cairo and Nile cruise. Moevenpick Hotel nice and quiet - on one level - friendly, nice pool but weather was a bit cold to swim! Excellent breakfast (included) and ate in the Thai restaurant which was excellent and good value - couldn't do enough for us. Only downside - views of... More

With the Great Pyramids of Giza as the backdrop, the Movenpick Pyramid Resort is a great place to stay. One just needs to step outside the hotel to view the magnificent structures. We had stayed in the resort for a couple of nights on our tour to Egypt and found the resort comfortable. The room was rather compact but not... More

Location: 10 min from the Pyramids, more than an hour from Cairo (due to the traffic). Easy to go around with the taxi/touristic service available at the hotel lobby. The area is not so pleasant and the ''bar with a terrace view from the pyramids" is in a separate building - you don't have the feeling it is part of... More

We were booked into the Movenpick at the end of a two centre holiday in mid-February, based first on board a Nile cruise boat and then in Cairo to see the pyramids, for which it is quite well located. Although the public rooms are well appointed with splendid chandeliers, the garden located bungalow bedrooms, while spacious, are less impressive, with... More

Good location for the pyramids. We had a non-smoking room, which smelt of smoke, including the sheets, which for non smokers was not great. Room was a bit tired. Breakfast was included and not to bad, although had someone light up right near us, which we are just not used to. Hotel was ok but not great. More

When I visited in January the hotel was less than half full. Arriving late, we were taken by a circuitous route to our room, consequently, next morning we had to follow the confusing signs to get to breakfast. Our room was large, with plenty of storage and a patio in front. The bathroom ws tired looking and some tiles were... More
