Location: A short 10 minute walk to the main gate of the pyramids. The area is safe, and those people who said it was unsafe either have very bad luck, bad timing, or were overly paranoid. It is very safe and the tourism police are everywhere. If you tip them, they will even walk with you if you are truly... more

This hotel was booked as part of a package. The first room on the first floor smelled moldy, you could see water damage on the carpet and the walls. But the worst was the bugs when I moved a towel in the bathroom. The second room. on the second floor was also moldy smelling and had black mold on the... more

We found the staff at le Meridien to be helpful and friendly, the food was mostly excellent the rooms average. However the building work going on around the pool area was awful. They seem to be building another hotel in what were gardens. The pool area is now surrounded with high boarded 'walls' trying to disguise the working area. A... more

We were traveling with a small group tour (3 couples). I can not comment on location since we were dropped off and picked up. Our tour included a nile river cruise dinner so we did not eat at hotel. The hotel itself was fine. The rooms were clean and bathrooms very nice. The lobby area was busy but also good.... more

It's not the faded interior (which is being upgraded) nor the constant rumble of traffic that lets this hotel down, but the fact that there is a culture amongst the staff of constantly touting for tips. From the front doorman who when asked where we could find a taxi redirects us to a wreck of a car saying "you can't... more

I stayed here with my boyfriend for two nights during the first week of October 09. Having read some of the reviews posted before mine, I have concluded that some people would probably be better staying at home. Some of the complaints from my fellow travellers are simply daft. We had a really good stay and I would definitely recommend... more

Stayed 2 nights at the end of August for flying visit to Cairo to see pyramids and museum.Overall I think that LMP served its purpose as the views over the Giza pyramids are great and the facilities are not bad- I think in reality its a four star property and to that extent its not bad. Breakfast was ok and... more

Stayed here overnight while away from the cruise ship in Alexandria. I used points for the stay, and received a nice upgrade with my gold status. 1st, the check-in. Smooth, few problems. The people behind the desk speak english, unless you want to get into a long and involved conversation with them, then they seem struggle with the language. 2nd,... more
