We stayed at this hotel to attend the wedding of a friend. We had a great time with our friends and at the wedding which was on-site. The hotel food was excellent - there is no need to have the dinner buffet with two other excellent choices - the Moroccan restaurant and the outdoor patio which can have live entertainment.... more

I stayed for two weeks and never had a single bad experience - except perhaps for people smoking freely in the lobby! The hotel has very good facilities and the spacious grounds ensure you never feel closed in. more

Visiting Egypt is a dream for all the travellors. And if any traveller wants to make her/his trip more fantastic, please stay in Hotel Movenpick, situated in historic city 6th of October, Cairo. The hotel is not far from the Cairo airport but very close to nature and of course the Pyramids of Giza. Hotel Movenpick has very confortable environment... more

When I booked a room at this hotel, I did so because it was convenient to my client. I had read some mediocre reviews, so I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was large and nicely furnished, and the balcony overlooked the elaborate swimming pool. The bathroom was large and well-equipped. The staff was very courteous... more

This is a very large, seemingly very plush, resort hotel. The property itself is beautiful, but it is poorly maintained and cannot possibly be around for very long. The air conditioning system remains a mystery, but at least ours worked. We have friends who were not so lucky. Another couple were up half the night waiting for the plumber to... more

We stayed at the Moevenpick Giza hotel in December. Overall it was a pleasant experience, the staff were very helpful, the hotel room was good, and the food at the restaurant was excellent. The only downfall of this hotel is that it is not very central and if you want to visit any other areas in Cairo at night you... more

This is a very strange hotel. It is located way out of Cairo. When you arrive you feel like you have entered one of the sterile resorts with large lobby and huge pools. Even more strange is that there was nobody there even though they claimed to be full. This place has no intimacy at all. The whole October 6th... more

I was promised a "7" star hotel, but movenpick media city is distinctly 3 star. dont be fooled by the fancy pictures of the exterior, the rooms are old, carpets feel grubby underfoot, the bathroom, while clean, just wasnt up to standard.Staff were not very helpful, and the hotel is too far to use as a base to Cairo.Taxi fares were astronomical(for... more

Movenpick too far out of town. My family with teenagers stayed in the hotel in December. The hotel was fine, the breakfast ok, but as it is so far from everything you are in a way forced to pay the very expensive prices the tour operators ask. The hotel shuttle are not free as some people said. If you want... more

On arrival we were greeted by workmen outside and inside the reception area lying out wires, on top of ladders and arranging flowers. It seemed the resort was preparing for some kind of event. We found out the next day It was all in preparation for some Princess's birthday. We were told on arrival the rooms were not ready and... more
