We stayed here this past May with 7 children. We felt very secure (security was very tight) and the rooms were extremely clean, icy cool and very comfortable. The restaurant was sensational. My children, even the youngest ones, still talk about the delicious Egyptian food. The staff was friendly and most accommodating. Numbers were obviously down, given the political situation,... More

This is really a beautiful hotel with an excellent view of the pyramids. Service was excellent, accommodations were very comfortable, clean, current and spacious. Coffee was provided in the room and bottled water daily for preparation. Complementary oranges were provided daily. Bathroom was stocked with shampoo, soap, lotion, hair dryer, and a scale. Breakfast Buffet was great with something for... More

We stayed there for five nights in 2012. What a beautiful place, wonderful staff and great view of the pyramids. We felt safe and well cared for in the old hunting lodge turned into a luxury hotel with a pool and view like no other

For some reason, Mena House has scrubbed all tripadvisor reviews prior to January 2013. We visited in January 2010 and we deeply disappointed. The staff was surly and strange. The grounds were not well kept. The rooms in the main building looked like something out of a worn out 50s boarding school. The rooms in the luxury new wing have... More

My husband Don and I stayed at this hotel in 1988 - It has an old part that used to be a hunting lodge and then they incorporated this old part with a fantastic new part that includes a huge courtyard where the swimming pool is located. We woke up our first morning at this hotel and the view from... More

If you are coming to Cairo for the first time, you probably want to see the pyramids. It took us a few minutes to decide on this hotel as there were no other hotels in the area that offered the same level of luxury and views of the pyramids. Imagine waking up in the morning with the pyramids right outside... More

A friend recommended we stay here and I am so glad she did. The palace and the grounds are amazing--be sure to take the tour that they do at 5 PM. The service was wonderful--very attentive staff and the location is perfect for seeing the pyramids of Giza, which you can see from the lounge and from many of the... More

We were very fortunate enough to stay here for 6 days in July 2013 while the revolution was happening. It didn't put us off going to Egypt. We were taken to the hotel, at the gate to the hotel there is quite a lot of security. A dog goes over the outside of your vehicle and your driver is checked... More
