The rooms aren't particularly luxurious or modern, but they're good enough. What you're really staying there for (and paying for) is the experience, and the lobby and the view make up for what the rooms lack. The onle thing which is 5 Star is the location, just minutes from the Pyramides. The Hotel was described as old Palace with Atmosphere. This Hotel is amazing, I have stayed here 4 times now and it will be my 5th time in June 08 Everything from the rooms to the food is excellent the staff cannot do more for you. the views are amazing especially at night if you sit outside at the resturant you can see a great view of the pyramids... more

The Mena House Oberoi has an unparalleled location at the foot of the pyramids in Cairo. The views are unbelievable. The hotel has a great history and tradition and because of its age, some of the rooms seem a bit dated.
