The hotel (no more an Oberoi hotel) is less than 400m far from the pyramids but be aware of the guys outside the hotel trying to sell you a camel ride or a caleche promenade! They climb over your cars when you enter to the hotel!! A taxi to the city center cost 25/30 LE and takes 30 min (without... More

Memphis tours recommended Mena House Hotel and we were not disappointed. So close to the pyramids that you could see them from the breakfast restaurant! The Indian restaurant is spectacular, the pool is large and refreshing. Be sure to request a room that faces the pyramids IF you want be able to wake up and see them out your window.... More

Recently stayed at the Mena House Hotel and was blown away by it's oh so beautiful location - directly across the road from the Giza Pyramids. The hotel and staff were amazing, the breakfast was awesome, so much choice with an array of dishes to choose from. Everything so fresh and staff that gave a high class silver service with... More

The Mena House is a part of the Oberoi hotel group, which stands alongside the Four Seasons in terms of quality and service in the Middle East, Asia and Egypt (basically, anywhere but North America). Security is paramount at this place. It's a bit outside the city center (think: Tehriri Square, Buddha Bar in the Sofitel), the advantage of which... More

I had a great time at the Mesa house! The staff was extremely friendly and would bend over back words to help you. The view was spectacular at the Mesa house (and not just of the pyramids). It was equivalent to a hotel hiring models to work, the women there were absolutely stunning. I would return there and forego the... More

This is an oasis amid the hurly burly of Cairo. The view of the great Pyramid from the balconies in the Garden Wing are worth the price of admission, which, in July anyway, ain't that high. We liked the pool, the outdoor bar, and the golf cart service from lobby to Garden Wing. The service was like out of the... More

3 nights at the Montgomery Suite in the old palace section (one of 2 presidential suites). Authentic old world charm including antique furniture..etc. Massive master bedroom with a bed that is beyond the standard sizes (looks like 1.5 a king size), large living room (that actually accommodated 2 extra beds for kids with plenty of remaining sitting space (sofa and...
