I was traveling with with my 11yrs son. It's not a 5star hotel but we were happy with it. Our balcony looked out to the pool so the noise and filth of the city are muted. What a relieve in this incredible filthy, noisy and rundown city. The people where overall very nice to both of us, some try to get baksis... more

We were switched from the Oasis to the Amarante by explore on our Egypt tour and were concerned by the reviews here (particularly because we know the Oasis and liked it last time we were in Cairo). This hotel is not at good as the Oasis but, judging from reviews here, they are working on an updating programme. The pool... more

I cant give this hotel a good review. Checked in at 2am.. had my car parked by the valet and by morning 10am they hand pinched my camera with all my 3 weeks pictures of our honeymoon.. The breakfast was lousy, service lousy, location dingy..not a place i can recommend for tourist..definitely not a 5 star - maybe 3 star.. more

We were booked in to this hotel assuming it was going to be nice. It's not. We had a "superior" room which maybe 10 years ago would have been. Most furnishings were worn out, no bed spreads (mattress on box springs), peeling wall paper, worn out wood floors. The bathroom was all marble but all the plumbing fixtures were worn.... more

I recently traveled to Cairo on business and stayed at the Amarante Hotel in the Pyramids area. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are well equiped and appear to have been renoved in the last year. The hotel is located down a side street off of Pyramids Road, approx, 5 - 10 minutes from the... more

We stayed 2 days, room is not bad, but service is terrible. Breakfast is poor and expensive. Man on reception tried to trick us, because we check-out at 8 pm, he called at 17.45 and said that the rule of hotel is to check-out 18.00 and we will pay for all day. Nuts to you )) Don't stay here. But... more

Several weeks ago, I received an updated tour dossier for my explore.uk.co holiday informing me that my tour would meet at the Amarante. Being a trip advisor addict, I, of course, read the reviews below, which are most alarming. Having stayed two nights at the Amarante, I would say do not panic if your tour group has booked you here.... more

The hotel was listed as a four star hotel in Giza, close to the pyramids. It was located in a rural area, far away from everything. The streets around did not exactly invite for a evening walk. They were dark, dirty and it did not feel very safe. The breakfast was awful. Not much choice. Service at the pool bar... more

Well where do we start! Myself and my Boyfriend were really looking forward to staying in a 5 star hotel, As we drove further and further away from Cairo airport (it took 1.5 hours in traffic to get there) we became slightly concerned when we seemed to be driving into an area all we can descride as a slum! The... more
