It was a nightmare to come through the security gates of this hotel being checked like a criminal, the hotel is located in a poor area with animals and sheep living 100 m. from hotels entrance. the Nile view is OK, but if you looked anywhere else you'll hurt your eyes with disgusting views of animals and vulgar areas next... It has a good view of the Nile river. The view through the window is splendid especially from the top floor. The attentive, helpful and caring staff at the reception desk. My child really enjoined the swimming pool at the terrace. The stay at the hotel was very comfortable. Very close to major attractions of Cairo. The buffet breakfast had... More

Stayed here as part of a tour, so was expecting things to be basic. However, found the room on the ground floor to be large and spacious. Bathroom had a nice large shower cubile. May not be the most modern hotel, but overall was comfortable and well maintained (but would be nice to have abit of updating done). Buffet Breakfast... More

So the hotel itself is a great building with a view of the Nile and a Panoramic pool. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious enough and clean, and the food is fine. The problem I have with it is the service - we wanted to add one person to our party, and had been unable to do it online, but... More

The front desk staff at the hotel were excellent and very helpful - in particular Waled and Amany (not sure of the spelling?). Rooftop terrace with pool is lovely. No serious criticisms, especially given the superb price of the hotel - we would definitely be happy to stay here again. That said, the bathroom was clean enough, but barely -... More

Before comming to this hotel we looked up prices via Expedia. We got a quote for $45, we didn't book online and went directly to the hotel. Here they told us that there where no rooms available for $45, only $55. We told them about the internet quote but they didn't believe this. We went online via their own WIFI... More

It was a nice stay in swiss nile. Hotel is not located on the nile like other hotels but a street away from it. The nile view room is OK but it has a problem of traffic noise. The rooms at the back has basically old broken building view but the rooms are quite & comfortable. We hardly stayed in... More

We stopped at the Swiss inn Nile on the 11th July. For us it's the strength was that it was a very clean comfy able hotel. Clean linen and towels every day, beds were the softest I've slept in while touring Egypt. The pool is on the rooftop along with a snack bar, everything clean and tidy as well as... More

We stayed in this hotel twice at the beginning and end of a tour of Egypt. We had two different roomes and the second ones were much better than the first. The first ones were in need of redecoration. The hotel is not located in the best area of Cairo with very little around the hotel. If you intend to... More

As you can imagine, living in Cairo at the moment isn't too relaxing so we decided we needed a bit of a break from Zamalek with a pool and a bit of space to walk. For this it was great, a great pool and, most excitedly for a city with virtually no open spaces, a golf course to walk around.... More
