Although it is in a relatively good position the hotel itself is quite lacking. The wifi was not working, with staff being insistent that it was (4 different devices cannot use it, it is not working!) but eventually let us use another network. The room itself was not vacuumed before we arrived, there was dirt and small debris all over... More

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of an Intrepid tour. This is my second trip to Egypt & have stayed in numerous hotels, I would recommend this one based on its value for money & location. The hotel itself is in a nice part of Cairo, it is not in downtown or super close to tourist attractions,... More

Quite a decent hotel. 6 or so floors with a lift. ATM right across the road and a few good food places within walking distance. Google maps says pyramids are 15min drive away, but it took us more than 1hr at 2:30pm, and 2 hours to get back a few hours later. Keep that in mind when planning your day.... More

On the fancier end of the budget spectrum, the Crillion's best asset is its location: downtown Giza is at your doorstep, close to excellent shopping, banks, supermarkets and restaurants. Attractions (pyramids, Cairo Museum, Cairo Tower) are a £10-20 LE taxi away, and the area is safe and bustling without being overwhelming. Hotel service and quality, on the other hand, is... More

I stayed here as the start of my tour with Gecko Adventures, this hotel in itself was an adventure. The room range in different sizing, all are clean but have the 70's feel to them. Room service is good as is the restaurant there. I was there for my birthday and my tour leader arranged a birthday cake for us... More

Had this hotel at the end of my Intrepid trip and was quite surprised with the service. Rooms were of a good size and the washroom clean. Typical Egyptian breakfast is served which was fine with free wifi in the lobby. Doorman and front staff spoke good English and were able to arrange private taxi's for me. There are restaurants... I recently stayed at the Caroline Crillon Hotel. It was located close enough to downtown and shopping areas. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful! As a first time, solo, American female travler, I would highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast was great and so was the restaurant. There was always someone available who spoke English. I would be remissed... More

Great place to stay! The staff was friendly and always willing to help. English was spoken by all. The rooms were comfortable with a nice television. a safe, and a refrigerator. The location of the hotel is a small distance from downtown (15 minutes taxi) but in a much quieter and upscale neighborhood. It's a nice break from the hectic... More

This hotel had a clean comfortable bed & a nice hot shower which after 3 days of camping was much appreciated ! The staff was friendly and accomodating. Breakfast also was good. I would stay here again.
