Definitely for experienced backpackers, Dahab provides the basics well, but don't expect any luxuries. Toilet paper is not provided; hot water is not guaranteed. It is cheap and right in the center of Cairo. The staff are friendly. So it is a good deal...if you don't go there during the summer. The fans aren't powerful enough to cool the rooms and, trust me, sleeping with 30º C at night...is quite a challenge!! I guess that this can be a mecca for backpackers the rest... more
