We are a mid-40s couple from Canada and this was our first hostel experience anywhere. We would do it again without hesitation. This is a great location - near two busy streets for taxi hailing, several great restaurants, a market with all you need for groceries, the Egyptian Museum and metro station. We could walk to most anything in minutes.... more

We had a pretty nice room here... which is how it should be since we took their room in the most expensive price bracket. We paid 160 Egyptian pounds a night which was US$29. Although when we shopped around, we learned that this was good value. The main things we were going for was air-con (we were in Cairo in... more

We stayed here for 4 nights only because we were on a very tight schedule and couldn't find the time to change to another hostel. The Good -The room is fairly quiet as there are few guests staying here and most of the noise occurs when the owner and staff are praying directly outside your door The Bad -You will... more

The Sara Inn Hostel was exactly what you see on their website. I have to admit, I was a bit unsure of our decision to stay in a "Hostel". I was traveling to meet my brother and his wife, who are stationed in Uganda with the Peace Corps. Any facility with running, hot water is more than what they are... more

The shower are correct, it's not 5 stars but it's ok. The breakfast could be better. People who work at Sarar Inn are so nice,... more

The place is nice and clean (at least when compared with Cairo standars), and is located very close to the city center (as several others hostels). The price is competitive with other low budget solutions: in Cairo you can find cheaper accomodation, but maybe less clean. The staff is very friendly... even suspiciously too friendly. So friendly that soon you... more

We had a great time staying in this hostel. The hostel is located at the entire floor of the 7th, the ground level of the building could be a little shock, but remember 7th floor will be your Cairo home away from home. If you book a private suite, they offer free airport pickup, this is a great service, this... more

Sara Inn is small and intimate with a staff that keeps the place spotless and keeps the guests delighted. Sara Inn is off Independence Square over towards Talaat Harb Square, the site of the recent Egyptian movie "The Yacoubian Building". Central Cairo is at your doorstep. It is on the seventh floor of a seven story building (there is an... more
