I loved my stay at the Longchamps - it's a beautiful boutique hotel in Zamelak, an area popular with diplomats, businesspeople, and expats (there are also quite a few embassies in the area). The hotel itself is great - like a home away from home, much more character than the bigger hotels. There is a nice verandah and common area... More

Very nice hotel, we visited it in 2008 with my wife. It's small, Clean and perfect located at Zamalek. You'll love the neighbourhood! If you ask me about where stay at Cairo I'll point you here :) Enjoy!

After a 2 year hiatus I was looking forward to returning to this hotel for one night prior to my archaeological assignment in the Delta. Location: on the 5th plus mezzanine floor of a modern-ish building in the expat and student Mecca of Cairo. Leafy, safe and with plenty of nice shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel: boutique hotel decorated in... More

Unusual place for cairo standards. A friendly, family hotel with good service, good food and old world charm. Hebba bakri is a great hostess with good advice on cairo. Rooms are comfortable. Very good executive rooms. The quality price ratio makes this place an excellent choice in the central district zamalek. Popular with tourists as much as companies, people visiting... More

The hotel is very nice and charming and the terrace is a lovely place to spend time in the afternoons and evenings. A lot of the guests are professionals, not so many tourists. But the WiFi is really slow and the rooms are a bit worn. However, compared to other options in this price range it's one of the best... More

I stayed at Hotel Longchamps for 13 nights, I can therefore guarantee this hotel is absolutely the best I've found if you are into finding a "home-kind-of-feeling". The hotel is lovely and situated in a quite and safe neighborhood. The breakfast buffet is incredibly great that I spent almost an hour enjoying my take and feeling the relax and calming... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in an executive room with our 2 year old. Our pick up and drop offs were excellent with the driver waiting for us at the airport entrance. One things to note is that at 4pm it took about 2 hrs to get to the airport then we had to queue to get inside the... More

I traveled for a two night trip to Cairo with two daughters. Three women traveling in Egypt were well cared for. They adjusted breakfast time to accommodate our needs, and their breakfast was delicious. They also arranged airport transport and made dinner recommendations. The hotel had old-world charm and character you just can't get in a chain hotel. Would highly... More

...to come back to this unique hidden gem! Warm hearted Hebba Bakri and her excellent friendly staff give you a very comfortable feeling. Lovely and, of course, clean rooms and excellent breakfast. A real cosy calm oasis and perfectly located to explore Zamalek and Cairo.

I had the chance to stay in this hotel in the upscale area of Cairo. The coziness there makes you feel right at home away from your own home. The owner Mrs. Bakri goes out of her way to make her " "Guests" feel so welcomed that one hesitates to leave and would want to extend ones stay. She treats everyone as... More
