A hotel conveying a distinct charme "a l'ancienne". Tastefully adorned and quiet rooms. Modern bathroom. In the midst of Zamalek where you can roam around in cafes and restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended for individualists and people enjoying style.

this was not our first stay at Longchamps and surely not our last one. This small hotel is situated on the 5th and 6th floor in the heart of Zamalek, a part of Cairo which I would consider to be one of the safest places in cairo whereby Cairo is not really less save than any other large city, it... I had the pleasure of starting my morning in this hotel with a delicious breakfast. Excellent selection of fresh breads and croissants, among many other things. Very peaceful ambience with a lovely terrace that catches the sunlight. The staff are very polite and Ms. Bakri is absolutely lovely! It's the little details that make this boutique hotel so special.

the breakfast was very nice and the owner is very proper. i believe she is from Europe, so she is very proper, polite and understands service. I read crazy in appropriate things about other cairo hotels and this is not the case here. the hotel takes up 2 floors in a building (odd but very common in cairo). In the... More

After staying two days at another hotel on Zamalek I wanted a different change of pace and stayed at the Longchamps hotel during the Christmas holidays. 1st off I want to say to Hebba I hope your holidays back in Germany were good. Your hotel and staff were fantastic. The room was great and the location of the hotel couldn't... More

Hotel Lonchamps is a hotel we would go back with pleasure. It's not luxurious like the Belle Epoque but it is in an even better neighborhood (Zamalek), the service is warm and personal, and the price is very reasonable. The ground floor is very cold and impersonal but we learned this is what a typical apartment building lobby is in... More

Following the reviews of top ranked hotels in Zamalek, I book one standard single room in this hotel. I arrived at the place which is located on the fifth floor of a building that has not been renovated at all. In fact the ground floor looks like an abandoned building. All furniture in the room was very old and curtains... More

For an intimate hotel with lots of personal attention you cannot beat the Longchamps. On the top floor of a art deco building in the heart of Cairo's loveliest district, the hotel is a charming mix of new and old with newly redecorated rooms and baths. The staff is ever cheerful and endlessly helpful and to top it off a... More

Hotel Longchamps is a must if you are traveling to Cairo. First, Cairo is an extremely noisy city (Think car horns. Lots and lots of car horns) but Hotel Longchamps is located in quiet Zamalek and the hotel is on the fifth and six floors of a building so it is far removed from the noise of the city. The... More
