The Cosmo is like a well-loved but aging auntie.... not perfect but still lovable. Where else in central Cairo will you find cool rooms and security within 10 min walk from the Nile and Egyptian Museum? Where else will a lost purse full of money and credit cards be returned? This is a budget hotel that has seen better days. Semi-clean, helpful staff, but no hot water. Most importantly I want to warn you on the gift shop. Don't buy ANYTHING there. The owner is an unhonest hussler. I bought some gold jewelery there that turned out to be fake. Just stay away. more
