I was in Cairo about two weeks ago - I actually stayed 2 nights in Safir Hotel and only 1 night in Pyramisa. Never been before to either hotels (I used to stay at Novotel but got don't really like it) but I would have switched the number of nights. Yes - I like Safir but I like Pyramisa more.... More

We visited Cairo and stayed at this '5 star' hotel with my parents, brother, my husband and kids. We were warned by our travel agent that the five star hotels in Egypt aren't necessarily the same as in other countries! I shared this info with my family, and even then we were a little taken aback. Decor in the room... More

Hotel is good and some rooms have Nile river view. Staff is friendly and speaks decent english, which is a problem in Egypt. Location is also not bad. Make sure you stay in the new wing and not the old one. The new wing has much better rooms. Rooms are very spacious too in the new wing.

do not expect a REAL five star hotel and mind thinking, the building is old, furniture too, i had to ask for the maintenace, the staff are not very friendly and not even very professional, they even asked for a certificate to say that my wife IS MY WIFE, food is ok, but the hotel has a good location.

I stayed at this hotel a few days ago and I am sorry to say I was not treated well at all and was NOT HAPPY with my experience. Firstly I was put in a room that had a faulty bathroom door, it did not even close let alone lock. The bed linen was NOT clean, I saw hairs on... More

I stayed for 2 weeks due to office assignment in Cairo. While stay there, I need to borrow water heater. Unfortunately, in such a 5 stars hotel (I don't know which part is categorized as 5 stars), there is no water heater. When I asked for iron and ironing board, the staff only said, that the hotel doesn't provided it.... More

Stayed for 2 nights as part of an extended tour. The room was clean and comfortable and what I would call a 'Business Hotel' rather than a 'Leisure Hotel'. Situated on a busy street but all the streets in Cairo are. There is a small pool enclosed by the four blocks of the hotel so not ideal for sunbathing or... More

Stayed for three nights in May while visiting a customer in Giza. Back in the 1980s this hotel was probably very nice, but that was probably the last time the rooms were updated..Beds rock hard andbathroom dated.. Clean enough and breakfast tasty,Piano Bar staff friendly, but no choice of beers,Luxor classic only. No wifi in the rooms, but you can get connected in... More

We booked 2 Suites, as it was a family trip. Both the Suites were very spacious and had a vintage look. They need to maintain it a little more though. Buffet Breakfast was awesome, their authentic food Foul (pronounced as fool) was fantastic, had it with fresh and nicely made Pitta breads. Overall it was a wonderful stay at this... More
