This hotel represents tremendous value for money. To the negative reviewers: you really cant expect to compare it to the Marriott when you are paying one fifth of the price! The breakfast at the Marriott costs about the same as your room and breakfast here! The rooms vary, so ask to change if you're not happy. The staff are always... more

I don’t know where some of the other reviewers have stayed in the past that gave this hotel four or five stars but I would not want to stay in a place they thought was marginal. I hope Trip Advisor is making sure these ratings aren’t coming from travel agents or hired hotel writers. Our group of 17 travelers was... more

We were quite cynical after reading the negative feedback but we were in for a shock. The staff were very very pleasant and helpful and we had an amazing room with a huge balcony looking over the city. Although the room was not modern-it was very clean and comfortable and we always had a good nights sleep in the beds.... more

We were extremely pleased with our 5 day stay at the President. It was more comfortable then another much more expensive 5 star hotel we stayed at in Egypt. Don't be discouraged by the negative reviews on this site. Due to them, we were a little skeptical, but were pleasantly surprised. We had two different rooms, the large room with... more

We stayed there for 8 nights, and found it to be perfect for us. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but for an old building it is very well kept-up. Our room was large, the service was great, the food was excellent, and the location is right in the middle of Cairo-easy to get anywhere you want. Lots... more

We stayed here in febraury 2009 in two rooms as we have 3 children and this was the only way to get accomodated. The rooms were fairly big but looked very run down. The carpets were extremly dirty and the bedcover was not inviting. We got bitten at night by a lot of moskitos but I sill belive that it... more

We stay for 2 nights and it wasn’t a good start to our holiday. The rooms are small with no view at all, actually looked in a wall. The bathrooms had no shower curtain so the water went everywhere, which wasn’t great and as for the mould on the walls really not what one expects. As far as location it... more

We (a young couple) stayed at President Hotel in Zamalek for 4 nights. Overall it was OK experience when you think of the price of the hotel. But mind you, it is certainly nothing fancy, comfortable nor relaxing place. Good points of this hotel was: -The reception was helpful and effective. -Breakfast was satisfactory (not a lot of selection, but... more

My partner and I stayed at the President Hotel, Zamalek, for four nights in Nov/Dec 2008, and found it to be a lovely budget hotel. Zamalek is a perfect place to stay in Cairo, as it is a quiet residential area of town away from the insane business of central Cairo. We found the rooms to be bigger than we... more
