At USD140 per night - this is easily the worst place I have ever stayed. And that includes some terrible places in Zambia / Zimbabwe. The air conditioning didn't ever work. The staff will never give you any change for anything. So if they say a bottle of water is E£7 - and you give them E£50 they will never... more

I stayed here last year with a friend. On arrival I was told they didn't have two single rooms so I would be given a suite for the night (no complaints). I was never asked to change rooms and kept the suite for all 5 nights. It had 2 balconies on the Nile, two large beds, and a somewhat dark... more

This place has some really nice rooms, but you will need to ask for the rooms on the top floors. The lower rooms are very noisy and quite small. The Nile view is nice but you we struggled to sleep with all the horns and othe noises. The top floor rooms had a side view of the nile and great... more

i stayed two nights and was only wishing to leave asap. the room was big on 3rd floor and spooky. the standard was not up to mark as per 3 stars of my country. but the location was good for business and touring purpose. the worst part was the hotel service, the waiters are pathetic, though they claim 24 hours... more

We ended up here when the Longshamps nearby said that our e-mail confirmation wasn't really a confirmation after all. It was almost midnight, so we decided to give this place a try. They claimed that they had nothing available above the 2nd floor, so we got all of the honking noise all night. The bathroom floor had something sticky on... more

Spent few nights here late Nov 2008 and despite the negative reviews, my experience wasn't bad at all. In fact I enjoyed my stay. I was at the Concorde EL Salam during the first part of my trip and would gladly choose this place any day. The hotel itself isn't that fancy and somewhat dated but what it lacks in... more

Positive: Location and size of rooms Negative: Elevator broke down in one evening . We had to wait at the reception for at least one hour. I asked for something to drink and learned that I have to pay eventhough it is the management fault that we are waiting. This is not a 4 Star hotel by any standard. It used... more

Rooms are fine. Nice and clean but a bit dated. Bathrooms likewise. Breakfast was pretty good though. Liked the location in Zamalek and felt perfectly safe wandering around Cairo. Was a bit noisy due to the traffic outside but i bet every hotel in Cairo suffers this problem. All in all, quite happy at £40 per night and considering the... more
