The hotel is centrally located. It's a short walk to the the Egyptian museum and downtown. Room could have been updated, but overall it was nice, clean, and had enough space. We had a balcony that looked over the Nile, which was a bonus. Cars are constantly honking, but when we closed the sliding door, most of the noise was... more

I agree with others that this is not a 5 star hotel, it's more like a 4 star. Keep in mind it's about 1/2 the price of the genuine 5 star hotels nearby, so it's a good value. THe hotel is a bit dated. If you look closely around the bathrooms and bedroom furniture, you'll see some is in need... more

Rooms were very big and comfortable nice bathroom. Breakfast buffets wer excellent. Security screening everytime you come back in became a joke. Driveway access for our coach was woeful. Good shops/cafe across the road (security screened again!) Front foyer is organised chaos (like most of Cairo) Close to egyptian museum but not walkable due to the traffic. Money changers in... more

This is my first time in Cairo, but my third in one of the hilton hotels around the world. And i must admit that the Hilton Ramses has failed in most aspects of the Hilton Standards. I checkin for 2 weeks stay on a business trip and was expecting the usual hilton comfort. Instead i found the room to lack... more

We've just had a week at the excellent Ramses Hilton in Cairo. We'd read one or two mildly negative posts on this Hotel in the past, but - we'd have been hard pressed to fault this place. We had a nice room overlooking the Nile. The breakfast was amazing, and I heartily agree with one American visitor who recently posted... more

Right across from the Nile River and near the Egyptian Museum. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was included in the rate.. good variety. Concierge called Taxi's and communicated for you...Taxi's very inexpensive. Mcdonalds and another restaurant across the street in there Ramses Hilton Center.. which had 7 floors of shops and a movie theater. they also have a casino. more

As part of our Cairo sights and Nile cruise trip, we chose the Ramses Hilton. Having read some of the reviews on this site, we expected a mixed bag and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. The staff we met were pleasant, polite and helpful and on both occasions (we stayed at the beginning and end of our Egypt... more

I have to agree with other reviews. This hotel should not be classed as 5 stars. It's more along the lines of 3 stars. Everything is old and outdated. The bathroom shower is so old, you wonder if it's clean or stained... The floor is also old, everything is OLD!!! Disappointed and would not stay here again. For the money,... more

Our stay at the Ramses Hilton overall was excellent. Service was first class as was the choice of restaurants (we ate in 3 ) Buffett breakfast which was free with our stay, had an excellent range of food choices and the best museli I have ever eaten. I was unable to find the same in any other hotel we stayed... more
