vivid cairo , this little hotel is like an oasis in the desert. The staff is very kind and always ready to answer to all your questions. We went there after the second revolution in Egypt, on 5th september 2013 but we felt very safe. From there you can reach by feet the Egyptian Museum in tahrir square and also... More

Location, location, location. The best location for a hotel in Cairo. Close to banks, a mall, restaurants and the Museo. Agree with another review, the entrance is quite creepy, but is not a big deal. The staff is great. Ahmad is awesome, he help us a lot to plan our days around Cairo. I do have to say the plumbing... Two weeks ago I spent another three days at Luna on a visit to Cairo. The hotel was comfortable and pleasant and the staff congenial, as always. In the lobby, the radio softly playing Western classical music has lately been replaced by the usual jabbering TV, bringing the atmosphere down a notch. Luna is about a ten-minute walk from Tahrir... This small budget hotel is ideally located in downtown Cairo on a very lively avenue. Staff is wonderful, always ready to help and make you feel at home. Breakfeasts are included in the room rate and decent enough for Egypt. Our room was large and airy. But the sleep quality was mediocre for two important reasons; one, the mattress on... More

I stayed at the Bella Luna Hotel for 3 nights, it is very good value for money and the cleanliness and facilities are good for a budget hotel. The staff are friendly but not too in your face or pushy- they will help you arrange tours if thats what you want (we opted to sort our own stuff out) and... More

This place is on the 5th floor in the downtown area of cairo. The celling hight is great, the rooms are lived in. While the hotel is clean there is an air of grubyness to the place. The staff are helpful, if at times a little pushy. Being on the fifth floor there can be issues with the hot water... More

Breakfast: the staff didn't tell me there are two options for breakfast but served me with literally three small loafs of COLD bread, one boiled egg and a cup of tea. Service: some of the staff speaks very limited English. Those who speak good English told me off that I should not ask for good service as they are not... More

This hotel is a total surprise. One would think that it is going to be a total dump judging by the entrance to the building and the elevator. Once you get to your room on the third floor (after checking in on the fifth floor) you are pleasantly surprised by newly renovated rooms that are secure and clean. The staff... More

Rajeev's review is spot on. I did not have quite so horrendous an experience, but I must say that I negotiated a tour of the pyramids through H. Moussa (part owner) that was less than, how should I say, usual. Originally priced at 100 Egyptian pounds, he tried to scrounge for 50 more. When I protested via email, he relented.... More

The Luna hostel is your basic backpacker affair. I had a mixed stay while staying here so let me break it down into pros and cons. Pros: -Rooms are spacious, clean and good AC. -Bathrooms are clean. -The morning manager (older man) was informative as to the scams operating at the Egyptian museum. -Basic breakfast (flat bread, tea, cheese, fig...
