I really wanted to like this place. The location is excellent, in a quiet back street in the charming Garden City area, walking distance to the Egyptian Museum. The staff were friendly and seemed keen on listening and making the place work. The rooms are smallish, simple and comfortable. Sounds good right? Well yes, except that our room was so... More

Approximately two months in business according to the owners. The location is great a few blocks from the Nile in the Garden District and about 10-15 minutes’ walk to the Museum. Rooms are clean, simply appointed and décor is nice with base essentials. Our Double room had a queen-sized bed and quality mattress with soft Egyptian cotton sheets. The room... More

After a few problems when arriving to the hotel (I dont think they had any idea who was turning up because they werent expecting us at all), we where shown to our room. The room was nothing like the photos on the website, I think these are from their other hotel Nile... More

be careful. the photos on the website are from some other hotel. emailed confirmation of a room proved to be a lie and we were shunted off to another hotel owned / managed by the same team but with a requirement to pay more. After one night in the other hotel (where the Manageress seems to think paying customers were... More

OK this is how I truly feel about this hostel… I traveled with my sisters and there are four of us. We booked our space about a month in advance. Within hours I received an email from management confirming our stay and offering us a free driver to pick us up from the airport. It was nice of them to... More

The low budget "hotel" occupies part of a floor in a multipurpose building. Clearly, there are no building codes in Cairo because it seems someone bought part of a building to make into rooms. There is no common area so eating is done in the rooms. They are spacious. There are small balconies--ours did not have furniture on it and... More

We flew into Cairo on the 27th Nov 2011. We had booked the Juliana for our first stay in Cairo. Ahmed was there to pick us up as arranged (on booking the hotel they give you the option of free transfer to the hotel). This is simply a great little hotel, clean rooms, Miriam prepares a great breakfast, consisting of... More
